"Hey Hanna, what are you doing here?"
"Just came to buy some movies for tomorrow, my cousins are going to stay at my house, so, we'll have like a pajamas party," she paused, "yeah, on a school night but it doesn't matter because they have to stay there anyway."
"I thought Emily was going out with you, tomorrow."
"No, I asked her if she wanted to come but she said that she already had plans."
"Oh, okay. I have to go pay for this," I said, showing her the movies that I had in my hands, "Bye, I'll see you tomorrow at school."
"Bye, Styles."
Why would Emily lie? Sick of lies, damn lies. Why everyone lies when there's no need to? It's not like I'm her parents or semething. Doesn't she trust me? Why is this even bothering me? It's not like I really want to know where she's going to.
"It's £45," the girl behing the counter said, interrupting my thoughts, "Have a nice night." she said, smiling, when I gave her the money.
"You too. Bye."
Emily's POV
"Hey, what movies do you have there?"
"Endless Love, Mama and We're the Millers."
"Good choices," I laughed, "I never saw them."
"Yeah, me neither."
"Are you being honest? Because I don't like spoilers."
I was in a better mode now. I know that it would be just for awhile but I can't let Colton destroy me ...But I also don't know what to do.
"Some people aren't that honest but I assure you that I am," his voice sounded harsh, and he was looking really deeply in my eyes, studying my face. Am I wrong or this was an indirect?
"What you mean?" I asked him. My voice maybe sounded nervous this time.
"Nothing, and by the way, Hanna was there."
"There? Wher-e-e?" I couldn't even speak and process the things he said.
"At the CD's shop."
"Oh, really?" I tried to give my best smile but I really think it seemed forced due to the trembles that my body was receiving. I was starting to get nervous.
"Yeah, seems like she's having a sleepover tomorrow."
"Oh yes. I'm going."
"Only you?"
"Mmhm," I hummed, "yes, only myself."
"Well, she didn't say that... She said that her cousins were going to be there and also that you were not going."
Shit, shit, shit.
"I," I fumbled with my response, only to get cut off by him.
"Don't lie again for gods sake," he rolled his eyes.
"I'm honest too, okay? I just lied about going out with Hanna," my heart almost stopped when Harry pinned me against a wall.
"So, you're always honest, huh?" he said, "are you?"
"No, I'm not.." I replied.
"Well, at least you're not lying now."
"But I'm not a liar, okay? You don't have to worry," I paused, trying to make up another excuse, one that he would believe, "I just didn't want to tell that I'm babysitting tomorrow night."
"I don't believe in that, you're lying again," he grumbled, being harsh and cold.
