~waking up

HARRY POV:

Weeks had passed, still no sign of Rach waking up, Melody Josh and Drake had all been informed and had visited for an hour everyday, i was there most of the day just sitting with her i tried talking to her, i wanted her to be conscious when i eventually told her i loved her too. Becky had calmed down and sat with me, after about a day since she kicked off. Rach just lay there, looking at her it felt so surreal we didnt know if she could sense anyone was there with her, we just know she was fighting for her life, only machines keeping her alive, it was only a matter of time before it just wouldnt be enough if she didnt wake up and it was heartbreaking.

"Did you know she could sing" Becky asked me,

"she said she enjoyed it but refused to show me" i replied remembering our first night out,

"one of the best voices you'll ever hear, her confidence has had a severe knock she used to sing all the time, making youtube videos, doing talent shows, any chance when she could perform she would take it"

"what happened"

"one night she was singing my brother and his stupid friends came along and watched, they laughed through her entire set, she finished her set early deleted all her vids and never sang again", 

"why did she stay with him"

"he made her feel like she was nothing and without him she would have nobody and she believed him, she was completely brainwashed"

"tell me everything, while shes in this state she wont mind, i need to understand everything so i can help her when she wakes up"

"well she would flip if she knew i was telling you, but if you're sure?"

"im certain, just tell me please"

"well, ill start from the beggining shall i?"

I just nodded,

"well Rach and her sister Skylar were real close, they did everything together, her sister knew my brother very well, they were pretty close, that was way back when he was a really nice guy, Rach and Sky were the best of friends with him, Rach started to date him things were going good or so she thought. He got involved with the wrong crowd and then Skylar noticed a change in him, she was always arguing with him, this one night he threatened her, she tried to warn Rach off of him but she was having none of it, she still seen him as that kind funny guy they were once bestfriends with. The more Sky tried to warn her to stay away from him the more determined she was to stay, her and Sky fell out over it, eventually Sky moved out to America. Shes a dancer she out doing some work with that out there right now. After she moved Rach started to go off the rails a bit fighting with people, arguing with teachers her grades were going way down, she was getting drunk from time to time and would just go around with him and his mates, without Skylar there to guide her in the right direction she was changed, she wasnt the Rach everyone loved. She wasnt the same and neither was he. Eventually after he had knocked her confidence enough she was all depressed, i was the only girl friend she had left. I had to do something to help her, i told her she didnt need him and that she needed to wake up and remember who she really is, somehow i got through to her because when he tried to take advantage of her, he hit her she hit back she had regained her confidence, although now he had gone physcotic he tried to rape and kill her, i assume she told you about the night she threw herself out the window, well after most charges against him were somehow dropped he came after her and thats where it all kicked off before she got away"

"what happened the night she got away" i asked really intrigued,

"thats all you need to know for now"

"no i need to know everything"

"she will tell you when shes ready, ya know what i think she would love to hear" 

"i want to wait till shes conscious"

"Harry, shes in a bad way, what if you never have the chance to tell her ever and she dies thinking you dont love her"

Becky was right i had to tell her, she left the room for a bit to give us some privacy,

Just as i was away to talk the doctor walked in and informed me they had ran some more tests and it didnt look too good and the next hours would be crucial, he left the room clipboard in hand i could tell that was his way of saying that it was hopeless, she may never wake up. I had to do this now.

"rach" i said as i grabbed her ice cold hand, "i love you babe, more than anything else in the whole world right now, you better pull through this, you havent been in my life for as long as i want you to be, im so sorry for letting you leave without me telling you all this but i just hope this isnt the end of the road, because i love you i really do"

I waited five minutes, no sign of her waking up, i sat with my head in my hands and cried my eyes out. Without me noticing i felt someones hand on my shoulder, i got such a shock i jumped up startled, then i realised who it was, she was awake as if by magic i had never been so happy to see someone in all my life. I leant over and kissed her, i was so happy.
