Lilith's POV
-Freedom and Rejection-
I was frozen cold. Right down to my brittle bones, that ached agonisingly from the bitterness of the temperature that surrounded me. The chill of the glitzy solid liquid all around me took my breath away.
I was trapped, caged by a beautiful icy mass, with no escape. Loneliness plagued my consciousness. Icicles clung to my eyelashes, the weight of them making my eyes sting unnaturally.
Time passed, I couldn't identify how much time passed, because nothing ever changed.
There was nothing, only icy coldness.
That was until distance whispers danced in my dreams, too quiet to distinguish, nevertheless audible enough to drag me away from my own personal hell.
Realisation sunk in, melted into me, along with the clarity that there was no longer any ice, no longer imprisonment with-in the ice.
I was free.
My eyes shot open and I gasped in shock as I saw what freedom looked like. Gazing up at the glass chandler that hung from the celling as I stroked my hands along the woollen blanket that wrapped around my body, a smile playing on my lips, apparently freedom looked like a hotel room.
"Lilith you're awake" a voice distracted me from my thoughts, I turned my head to the speaker; examining his messy black hair, a wave of familiarity washing over me as I gazed into his light grey eyes, that were itches away from my face.
"Am I Lilith?" I asked confused, the name sounded familiar too but I couldn't recall anything other than the dreadful ice.
"You don't remember who you are?" he asked flabbergasted, his light grey eyes sparkling with little flecks of chlorine blue as I shook my head sadly; all the while secretly admiring his rugged beauty.
He was a young man, in his late teens with chiselled features that contrasted so greatly with his pale pink lips that looked so unbelievably soft and gentle, it was hard to drag my eyes away from them and his own strange coloured eyes that burned into mine with admiration and pity.
"You're Lilith, I'm Samael, but don't worry we haven't met before now." He explained clearly and matter-of-factly.
"Haven't we?" I asked tenderly, my hand reaching towards his face, stroking my fingertips down his jaw slowly, watching his strange beautiful eyes widen and flash chlorine blue as he leant into my caress, bringing those gorgeous lips so close to mine that I could feel his breath against my own - we were so nearly kissing, just a little closer...
But before I could comprehend my longing for his kiss the door creaked loudly behind him and he flinched away from my reach; my eyes narrowed in disappointment as I assessed his frown and the light grey colour that pooled back into his eyes.
Then he turned away from me and the feeling of rejection washed through my body.
