Lilith's POV

Shiver

Her manic gaze scorched me with hatred as her long fingers tightened painfully around my arms; I could feel bruises forming beneath her grip on my fragile bones. Everything had happened so fast, she had struck at me like a venomous cobra, coiling her fingers around my arms like a snake would its long flexible body.

She effortlessly lifted me up even higher, making my toes hover above the ground and my arms ached painfully under her firm grasp; the action made me feel undeniably vulnerable and shaken.

I stared at her with fear and surprise in my eyes as she hissed "Now listen up little girl, Sameal is MINE so keep your filthy little mitts off him, or else!" her words were as toxic as they were patronising but simply infuriated me more than they frightened me.

She tightening her long fingers around me as she shook me violently, making my head rock back and forth like a child's rocking horse; the action was unsettling and painful - but even the pain didn't match the seer irritation I felt as my teeth cut into my bottom lip.

I shut my eyes slowly as the disgusting taste of my own metallic blood filled my mouth, thoroughly beyond frustrated; I let my patience slip away - sending with it a cold shiver through my body. She must have felt the sensation travel through me because at the same time she instantly released me from her grip.

My eyes shot open in shock as I fell abruptly on to my bare feet; maintaining my balance I titled my head slightly to one side, scrutinized her with narrowed eyes. I watched with curiosity as she took slow careful back steps away from me; while I stayed frozen to the spot simply watching her frightened expression with confusion.

A sugary smile played on my lips as I asked softly "Or else what exactly?" my words came out barely louder than a whisper but nevertheless they made her eyes widen in fear as blood drizzled silently from her straight pointed nose.

I didn't quite understand why her nose was suddenly bleeding or what I had actually done to make her release me; to make her frightened of me - But I guessed it had something to do with the icy chill that seemed to shiver through my veins and surround me like an invisible cold aura.

I waited a few seconds wondering if she dared to answer me, she didn't; so I dismissed her politely and casually "Thank you for the clothes Salisa, but I won't be needing your aid to dress; so please don't let me keep you any longer - oh and by the way I think you need a tissue because your nose is bleeding."

With that I nonchalantly turned my gaze onto the black suitcase that she had brought into the room, hearing the wooden door slam behind me as I unzipped the case then flipped the lid open to examine the contents. The case was filled with a variety of garments made of various different fabrics, all folded neatly into piles with various shoes and oddities crammed in down the sides.

I emptied the case leisurely, examining each garment with careful fingertips; my gaze lingering on the flimsy lingerie made of lace and silk and the many impractical heels. When the case was completely empty I assessed the garments that now lay in organised piles around me.

Soon I had cast my dirty dress aside into the pile of clothes and shoes that were; too racy, far too big or just plain hideous - and began to dress myself in the new garments I had selected. I'd chosen a floaty lace dress that fell to my knees and was decorated with a delicate black bow, paired with a pair of crocheted black tights and shiny black dolly shoes with a tiny silver buckle.

Dragging a brush through my blond locks I wandered around the room slowly; stopping abruptly when I came face to face with my reflection in the old fashioned fancy mirror that hung crookedly against the wall. Ice blue eyes set against creamy white skin stared back at me and I noticed the dark purple bruised that had formed against my arms where Salisa's long firm fingers had been earlier.

Sighing I took one last glance in the mirror before throwing the few piles of clothes I actually liked back into the case, along with the brush and a couple pairs of shoes before zipping it shut, struggling with the harshness of the zip. Kicking the rest of the clothes aside I decided to go in search of Sameal; I missed his presence - and I wondered why Hayl had said that we had to leave soon. Where were we leaving too? Where ever it was I hoped he wasn't planning on bringing the witch Salisa along too!
