Sameal's POV
-Many Surprises-
Hayl's body twisted as he was about to punish Salisa in the most horrifying way imaginable as I stared wide eyed quietly begging him not to "Hayl, no, please no."
I cringed as I could see his actions ignore my pleas and I had to resist the urge to not watch as he was about to commit to his task; but then suddenly he froze and turned his attention away from Salisa - and instead focused towards the oak doors.
Following his gaze I was stunned to see Lilith stood in the archway with her tiny hand resting against the wooden door as she stared wide eyed at the scene before her. She had changed into a vintage lace dress that hung onto her tiny frame, but yet still somehow hugged her subtle curves in a seductive manner; I gazed at her lustfully - astonished by her beauty.
She cocked her head casually to one side as she whispered "Let her go." Her words were as soft and quiet as feathers but surprisingly they made Hayl flinch and I watched dumbfounded as he removed his hands from Salisa's head, holding them up defencelessly as he took careful steps backwards.
Lilith stood frozen in the archway simply watching Hayl's descent as Salisa stood and bolted nervously past her out of the door; her heavy footsteps echoing through the foyer. It surprised me that Hayl let her go; that he still stood defencelessly before Lilith assessing her with careful eyes.
I watched the scene before me with confusion, all of a sudden aware of the cold atmosphere that made me shiver, the unintentional act made Lilith transfer her attention onto me and I shocked to hear Hayl's relaxed exhale as Lilith's eyes bore into mine intently.
Her glorious beauty was outstanding, making it impossible to control the goofy grin that spread across my lips; which thankfully she returned with her own breath-taking smile. I let my eyes travel lustfully over her body, noticing faint bruises on her delicate shoulders which made me instantly concerned and annoyed at Salisa's wickedness.
She shrugged casually turning her attention back to Hayl who still seemed to be somewhat on edge as she addressed him softly "where are we leaving to?"
He exhaled again before answering her question openly "I'm not certain where we're headed yet, I just don't want to risk staying here any longer."
"What's the risk?" she asked concern and fear evident in her words, which made me reach out to take her hand.
Hayl's eyes zeroed in on our clasped hands but he ignored them as once again he answered her openly and directly "There were others that were looking for you, others that knew where you were, Ardiel has already discovered that you are no longer in the depths of the inferno, it won't be long before she and others begin to look for you; at the moment it seems she is playing it safe - trying not to draw attention to herself but soon she will come."
Lilith's ice blue eyes filled with tears as she enquired "Who's Ardiel, why will she come for me and who are the others, why were they looking for me?" Her panic filled words made my heart ache as I wondered how much Lilith actually understood and how much she could remember of her past; a past that I was still very unclear about.
"You need not worry about those answers right now young Lilith." Surprisingly his voice was oddly tender and seemed to put her slightly at ease because she forced a small smile as he reached his hand tenderly to her arm briefly comfortingly her before stalking off out of the room; calling over his shoulder "I'll fetch your suitcase and then we're leaving."
