I hope you're all enjoying it as much as I am! This is the funnest story I've ever written!
Are you all still with me?!?!? Vote and comment! Please. :)~* ~ *~
His eyes instantly widen as he stares at me, looking stunned. "Adoption?" Caleb asks, his voice sounding nothing but anxious and pretty confused. "That means giving it away, though..."
"Yes," I softly let out.
He drops his gaze back down to the picture as he lightly traces the baby with his finger, before slowly shaking his head, "No. No way. I couldn't do that."
When I honestly think of it, is when I carefully shake my head. "Me either," I gently admit. "But it might be the right thing to do."
"Maybe we can raise it, Bella," he suddenly lets out, making my head spin.
"I just have so much I want to do in life," I barely say, my voice hoarse and raspy.
He cautiously stares into my eyes. "Well. . . I don't. I don't have anything to live for."
Anxiously gulping, is when I frown. "But you have your family, right?"
His eyes immediately narrow, as he sharply exhales. "No, actually. I haven't talked to my parents in over a year."
"What?" I gasp, my heart dropping. "Are you serious?"
Slowly, he nods his head in response. "Yeah," Is all he says.
"I had no idea. . ." I softly breathe out, mentally hating myself. "I'm so sorry--"
"Don't be," he interrupts me from finishing. I stay silent. "I just know that since you're going through with the pregnancy, I can't let it go. When the baby's born I won't be able to just hand it over to someone, a complete fucking stranger, cause I'm not man enough to raise it."
"Alright," I quickly rush out, because his tone is stern and almost a bit angry, and that's the last thing I want is to fight with my baby's father. "Then that's just our last option..." I calmly let out a deep breath before facing the truth. "So, we're going to keep it?"
He lifts up his head and stares deep into my eyes, before parting his lips. "Yeah," Caleb tells me, slightly grinning as I nervously grin back. "I'm going to be a dad. . ." His voice suddenly trails off as he locks his eyes on the picture of our baby in his hand.
"And I'm going to be a mom," I quitly whisper, losing my breath as I finally realize it.
I'm going to be a teenage parent, I silently think to myself.
"Can I take you somewhere?" He unexpectedly asks me, as I narrow my eyes in complete confusion. "It's this place I go to when I have a lot of shit on my mind. I think you'd like it."
"I'm in my pajamas," I softly let out in a small quiet laugh, as he shrugs and smiles. "Where is it? Um, should I change?" I glance down at my pink pj shorts along with a pink matching tanktop.
"No," he answers with a chuckle. "Nobody else will be where we're going."
"Are you sure you're not taking me out in the middle of nowhere, so you can kill me, and dump my body in some woods or something?" I quietly joke around as he lets out a loud laugh.
