Even though a lot of people won't support us, Caleb and I go to the adoption agency anyways just to have a backup plan formed, just in case something was to go wrong. We both hop into his car and stay entirely silent, mostly because there's really nothing to say. I'm the only one who really truly would like for this adoption plan to work out and I feel as if nobody agrees with me. Yes, Caleb is supporting me with everything inside of his soul but knowing he doesn't feel the same way about giving the baby up for adoption just simply ruins everything. I really wish somebody, anyone, would come to my side and step into my shoes.

We eventually end up arriving to the adoption agency after putting the address in his GPS, and pulling into the parking lot is the moment that changes my whole life. I'm really considering giving my baby away, the voice says in my head as it finally hits me. And it hits me very hard.

Both of us get out of the car silently, as we walk around to the front and make instant eye contact, before I realize how terrified he looks. He doesn't even look mad. Caleb just looks scared, in a weird way, which suddenly makes me scared too.

We make our way up to the building and head in through the big front doors, as we enter a small quaint quiet room with a fresh clean smell of febreeze. The fan above us on the ceiling is on, making me cold as we slowly look at eachother and then walk up to the counter.

The lady sitting behind the desk and computer suddenly looks up at me, and nicely smiles, looking as friend as ever. "Hello there," she says in a nice happy tone, as I calmly grin.

"Hi," I softly let out, anxiously holding my breath. "I have an appointment in a few minutes with Dawn Lexington."

"Alrighty, and what's your first name please?" She asks me, looking down at a clipboard and writing something down. "We don't need your last name quite yet for confidential reasons."

"Isabella," I blankly whisper, clearing my throat from being so nervous as I glance over at Caleb's face whos standing right next to me, his eyes glued to the lady behind the desk.

"Okay sweetie, I'll ring Dawn and let her know you're here," she politely explains to me as I carefully nod my head in response. "You can just take a seat until she comes from her office."

"Thanks," I cautiously tell her as she smiles. I turn around and slowly make my way over to the chairs, taking a seat and staring down at my hands that are resting on my baby bump.

Caleb sits down next to me I can tell from the corner of my eye, but I still can't lift my head to look at him. I can't look at anyone because I'm so nervous and most of all, I'm pretty sad... Wanting to cry but holding back the tears is when a burst of emotions comes rushing through me, as I begin to get drownded in my own thoughts, until Caleb unexpectedly takes my hand.

I glance up at him into his eyes as he stares deep into mine. "It's going to be okay," he tells me, his voice sounding promising. "We haven't decided anything yet. Just focus on that. This is just to get some information on adoption, just a backup plan."
