My mother handed the picture frame to me and I looked down to see her and a man holding a baby.
"Who is he?" I asked as I set beside her.
"Your father..... I haven't been completely honest about him." She said through tears.
"What are you talking about? He died." I said softly.
"No.... your father isn't dead.... he.... He was forced to leave us.... a long time ago. You where but two months old when he was forced to leave forever." She said sadly.
"Why? Was someone threatening him? Was he already married?"
"He isn't like you and me.... he isn't human.... he is something far better." She said softly.
"What do you mean?" I asked as she looked out the window.
"Oh no.... it's happening." She said in shock.
"What? What is happening?" I asked before I turned to look again.
The moment I looked out the window water came in and flooded the house. I watched as we both went flying. I tried to swim to my mother, but couldn't. In a matter of seconds it stopped and I gasped a so looked around at the destruction. I looked around and tried to find my mother, and when I found her, she had a piece of wood in her side.
"Mom!" I yelled as I rushed up to her.
I moved my ear to her chest and gasped as I couldn't hear her breathing. I started CPR and soon she coughed up the water.
"It's going to be okay. I'm here." I said as I took her hand.
"Find... find your father... save our world." She whispered before she passed out.
I soon pulled my phone out and quickly called Arthur.
"My mother is hurt! Get help!" I yelled before I hung up.
Soon we all made it to the hospital and I watched as they took her back for surgery. I felt tears stream down my face as I put my head in my hands.
"It's going to be okay." Thomas said as he hugged me.
"She... She said my father wasn't human.... what did she mean?" I asked confused.
"He is from Atlantis.... I don't know who he is, but I know he was forced to leave a year after my wife did.... now.... your mother didn't tell me much about him, but she did tell me that he loved you dearly." He said softly.
"So what am I?"
"You are like Arthur.... not fully from the land or from the sea.... you are a child of two worlds." He said softly.
Soon a doctor came out and told me I could go in and see my mother. I walked into the room and smiled softly as I took her hand. I stayed in the room with her for awhile before I decided to leave. I looked for Thomas and then my eyes landed on him I walked up to him.
"Where is Arthur?" I asked calmly.
"He left to fight his half-brother. He left to stop this war." He said calmly.
"Stay with her.... make sure she is safe.... and tell her that I will return..... and I won't be alone." I said as I stood up and walked out of the hospital.
After awhile I made it home and looked around the house. I soon made it to where the closet use to be and smiled as I saw a metal case in its usual place, i opened it and smiled as I looked inside.
"Mommy what is this?" Five year old me asked as I looked at a spear.
"It is a trident..... your father use to make them." She said as she grabbed it and put it away.
"Why is there a suit in there?" I asked confused.
"Your father had it made..... a costume you could say." She said as she shut the door.
"Is it for me?" I asked as she turned to look at me.
"Someday you will get to wear it.... and I can't wait for that day." She said softly.
I pulled the trident out and held it in my hand. It was golden and it was light. I smiled as I spun it around and then looked at the suit. The suit had a V cut and was blue with some black. It had matching boots and I quickly grabbed them. I soon changed and I smiled as I looked into a broken mirror.
"I'm coming for you, and I promise you will regret attacking my home." I said as I spun the trident.
I turned and walked out of my house. After putting my hair up I dove into the water. I swam through the water until I made it halfway through. Soon I got tired and I stopped to rest. I spun the trident and let out a sigh.
"How will I even find Atlantis?" I asked as I looked around.
I soon saw something swimming and I froze as I realized it was a Mosasaurus. I hid and watched it swim around. After a few seconds I realized it was hurt. I slowly swam up to it and it snapped at me.
"I only want to help." I said softly.
It stopped struggling and I moved over to its wound. I put my hand on it and gasped as a blue light started to shine and when I moved my hand the wound was healed. It nudged me and I smiled softly.
"Do you know the way to Atlantis?" I asked softly.
It motioned for me to get on and I smiled as I climbed onto its back.
"So do you have a name.... no? What do you think about Thunder?" I asked calmly.
It growled and I laughed.
"Alright.... what about.... Spike?"
He started swimming and I laughed.
"I take it you like the name!" I exclaimed as he went faster.
