Elaine's POV
After a night full of romance, I sleep like a baby. Carlisle snuggles me while I sleep, kissing my head at random points during the night. When I wake the following morning, I look to see I am in the room alone. I frown, wondering where Carlisle is, but the question is quickly answered by a small piece of paper on the bedside table. I pick it up an quickly read it, it explains that he left to go hunting a little outside of the city and that he would be back by noon. He apologizes three times for not being here before the note ends. I roll my eyes, its not like I am a teenage girl that needs to be around my man all the time, but I cannot help smirking at the apologizes. After reading his note, I stumble out of bed and into the bathroom. I am getting dressed when I hear my phone buzz on the bed. I stop brushing my hair and walk to the bed. I was expecting it to be Carlisle or one of the children, instead, I am surprised to see it was Irina. I hesitate but answer it.
"Hello??" I answer, afraid to know what was so important that she needed to call me.
"Listen. I need to talk to you. I cannot explain on here, please meet me at the café across the street from your hotel in 30 minutes. Come alone."
Before I can say anything, she hangs up. I stand there for a moment, frazzled. I am tempted to try calling her back but decide it is no use. I look at the clock to see how long I have before Carlisle's return. It reads 9:00. I slowly make my way back to the bathroom and throw on a pair of light jeans and a black hoodie. I pull my hair into a messy bun and put on my pink Puma shoes. I walk over to the door and open it running into the hallway.
Bella's POV
Life always has a way of surprising me. Forks always has a way of bringing out the most amazing things. The Cullens were vampires and lived forever, Elaine beat death, when no one expected her to. I shouldn't even be shocked anymore when people come back from the dead. This one however, has caught me a little off guard.
When the doorbell rang, I didn't expect to see Violet standing there, shaking. She had dirt all in her hair, she looked like she was freaked out of her mind. I let her in, waiting for an explanation. She paced for a while, then talked.
"Bella. I am not who you think I am. My name is Olivia." She stated. I look at her, confused.
"I wasn't lying when I said James raised me, he did. He raised me to talk and act like Elaine's real daughter, Violet. He didn't anticipate her to be so strong, he couldn't have known. Violet can compel people, before I was born, a hybrid from a woman James had impregnated and died during my birth, she compelled James to let her go, to not follow her and to find someone else for his evil plans. She wasn't going to play his games anymore. When I was born, I thought of Violet as evil, she was the reason I was going to have to live this terrible life, but I now realize that this wasn't her fault. She wrote me a while after James died. She told me she was sorry for my loss. She said she could help me escape Victoria, so I did what she said. I disguised my thoughts towards hatred towards your family, I started to actually hate Elaine, I want a mother so badly and I was jealous that I wouldn't get to keep her. The car crash was my idea to Victoria, Violet wasn't too happy I had put her mother in danger but it worked. When Victoria found out Elaine was alive, she tried to kill me. She thinks I am dead now. She doesn't know that the person she trusts so well right now is helping me."
I looked at her, shocked. I mean, I am use to surprises but this is all too much. Is she evil or good? Where is the real Violet now and who is it that she is talking about?
"Who is helping you?" I ask. She blushes slightly and whispers, "My boyfriend, Riley."Elaine's POV
I am sitting in the café, waiting for Irena to come and meet me. I tap my fingers across the wood surface of the worn out table. Not many people are in the shop yet. I like to observe people, its my favorite past time. Finally, after what feels like forever, Irina comes strutting in, her blonde hair swaying behind her. She smiles when she sees me and waves, making me a little less tense.
"I have some news about the prophecy." She states as she sat down. I look at her for a second, trying to digest what she just said, with everything going on in my life, I had forgotten about the thick book that was now laying in Carlisle's office, waiting for us to figure out.
"What is it?" I ask calmly, while I am freaking out inside.
"I think the reason you are so powerful is because you have a secret power, not just healing."
I wait for her to finish, "I think you can bring people back from the dead."
