This situation cannot possibly get any worse because ;
a) Niall's still waiting for an explanation.
b) I kissed ashton. Like on the lips. Straight up.
c) 4/4 are here watching and
d) my leg is still in immense pain.
Ha jinx.
Oh for gods sake.
Out of all the possible times Louis could've come to visit me, it had to be now. Although, I think he must have caught on with the whole awkwardness because he didn't say a word as he walked in.
"Right, so are you going to tell me what's going on" Niall raised an eyebrow "Or are they?"
Who cares. Wow, he's being really annoying at the moment.
"Michael will tell you" I shrugged.
"Maddie KISSED Ashton" Michael piped eagerly. Prïck.
Niall's mouth dropped open slightly, no I'm not kidding. It was priceless. "Surprise"
Seriously, you could cut the tension with a knife in here.
Niall didn't look that angry though. If I'm being truthful here, Louis looks a bit hurt but again it might be the tablets playing tricks on me.
"Maddie...did your parents never teach you to not go round kissing every boy you see..." Niall asked. I think he was joking but he deserves this one. "No. But instead they abandoned me on my birthday and took my twin brother home instead" I snapped back.
No one spoke. The silence was deafening.
"Maddie you know it wasn't like that" Niall looked hurt.
"Well it sure felt like it" I replied angrily.
"Will you stop being such an arse!"
Did he just ?
Niall came over and reached for my hand but I flinched away and whimpered a "Leave me alone".
I felt a single tear run down my cheek. This really isn't going well for me.
Niall disappeared out of the door and slammed it shut causing everyone to jump a little. I thought Niall cared, but how could I be so wrong? I mean he's already left me once, so what's stopping him from doing it again..
The room fell silent once again.
"We will go and talk to Niall and Louis can stay here with you" Ashton said gathering Michael, Luke and Calum together.
I nodded, my voice was inaudible right now.
They all scurried eagerly out of the door, leaving me alone with Louis. Strangely I felt safe and warm again - something I've longed for so long.
"Don't worry Maddie, he's just annoyed. He'll get over it" Louis said taking my hand in his.
"Hopefully".
*** 26 hours later ***
I got some good news and some bad news.
The good news is is that my leg wasn't as badly damaged as they thought it was so I get to go back on tour with the boys and I don't need any additional crutches which is a bonus. It healed pretty much overnight, so we're all systems go now. I only have a small limp which isn't too bad I suppose.
But the bad news is is that I still haven't heard from Niall. People have been coming and going all day and not a single one of them was him. The nurse said that someone was going to come and pick me up from the hospital but she didn't tell me who. I mean it's 10 o'clock at night. I doubt any of the boys would give up their time to come and get me.
I was brought back to reality when I heard a car horn beep. It was a black taxi so as far as I'm concerned right now, I'm travelling back home alone.
I held the medicine that the doctors gave me firmly in my left hand and my phone in the other. Smiling at the driver, I thanked him and opened up the taxi door. To my surprise, Niall was sitting there but who am I kidding, he didn't even look up from his phone once - didn't even merely acknowledge my existence.
Rude.
I got in silently and did my seatbelt up. I unlocked my phone and texted louis.
On my way back now. Who sent Niall ? Things are so awkward :/
Out of nowhere Niall finally spoke, "I'm sorry".
Finally.
I looked up from my phone and locked my gaze with Niall's.
"I accept your apology" i sighed "but I'm am to, I should've never have disrespected you like that, I'm sorry"
Ever since I was a kid, I was told to say "I accept your apology" instead of "It's okay" as otherwise they'll think it's ok to do it again. Quite clearly it's not.
"Are we good?" He asked.
"Yeah we're good" I smiled.
"Come on hop-along. We're back".
Oomfff, that's a new nickname.
I sighed and got out of the taxi which had now stopped. Niall payed the guy and we walked a little way to where the bus is parked.
Hobbling up the steps, I opened the door with Niall following closely.
"Maddie! Your back!" Harry shouted as I entered.
"Just about" I replied sitting next to Louis on the sofa, yawning.
Time for bed me thinks. I laid my head on Louis' chest and he wrapped his arm around me.
I felt my eyes drooping and soon I was asleep listening to the sound of Louis' heartbeat.
