"Hold on" Niall's eyes flickered between me and Ashton "you know him?".
I gulped, slowly nodding.
"What? How?" Niall asked, clearly confused.
I shook my head in disgust, I hate that boy.
"Well, you see, me and Ashton used to be great friends, the best actually, until one day she showed up out of nowhere and he slowly drifted further away from me. He began ignoring my calls, then my texts and then just completely blanked me at school. It's been four years since we last spoke and, god help me, I'm not starting now" I spat – heading straight for the stairs. "Oh and for the rest of you, I'm maddie, good fuc.king day to you"
It was only now that I realised I had no idea who's room was who's so I took a lucky guess and walked a little down the hallway and knocked on a random door.
"Come in".
I grabbed the handle and pushed the door ajar. Louis' head shot up from his phone, bewildered on why I was in his room.
"What ya doing here, mads?" he asked – patting the bed space next to him, signalling for me to sit down and so I did.
"The situation downstairs is kinda awkward, so I decided to leave"
"Ohh right, well you're welcome here anytime" He smiled sweetly.
"Thank you".
"Wanna talk about it?" I shrugged but began to tell him everything that went down between me and Ashton back in high school. Louis sat there and listened to everything I had to say and I've gotta admit, I've really missed not having anyone to talk to. Don't get me wrong, I have Ellie and Max, but I don't want to annoy them with my lame ass problems.
"All I'm gonna say is I know you probably don't want to ever have to speak to him again, but you're going to be spending a lot of time together, maybe you should try and be civil towards him" Louis sighed and took my hand into his, every now and then his thumb would gingerly brush past my fingers. Woah.
"I know" I pouted "He's just a bit of a jerk I suppose".
"Isn't everyone? But that doesn't mean they can't ever change; just remember that".
"I will" I smiled "I don't know how you've done it, but you actually made me feel 100x better. Thank you".
He pulled me into a hug and whispered "anytime" into my ear. I swear to god his voice against mine sent chills down my spine.
Once he'd pulled away he giggled and said "Louis Tomlinson makes everything better".
"Whatever you say" I smirked making him fake pout.
"Soo maddie, whatcha wanna do?".
