A glimpse of hope

"Hi everyone, it's me lena Luther and I know it was said that I was kidnapped but umm I was able to escape with help from a man who is no longer with us, may you rest in peace Kevin. But that's not what I'm here to talk to you about, you may have seen the video about a bomb that will go off In national city killing all of us, and destroying our beautiful city. However I have been in contact with the government and there is one building in national city where you can go that will give you the chance to survive. You see this bomb gives off high level radiation and it will kill any human it touches but this building is lined with lead and other materials that absorb the radiation meaning anyone inside will live. This is the building and I encourage everyone to make there way here for a chance to survive and it's only in your best interest, we want to keep the citizens of national city safe, and I want to make sure that we all live, that the only thing destroyed is something we can rebuild our city, and we can show these terrorists that we are strong, that we will fight back and stop those who do us wrong, it's time for us, the citizens of national City to take a stance to show people and the world that if we are all together we are unstoppable we can do anything. If we all work together, my we could build a skyscraper we are all so talented. We each posses a different skill and alien or not, female or male, gay or straight we are all people and we must show the world that we aren't helpless and that we are as strong as supergirl, that we are stronger then her. We can be united and we can save everyone. So please come to this building to give yourself and national City it's best chance, feel free to bring a few objects but due to limited space not to many. And we will survive and we will rebuild our city to show the terrorists such as solarium corp that we won't be scared by anything. Thank you" I sayto a camera and that is being broadcasted to every tv, every phone, every laptop, every I pad, every radio everything that can help spread the word. I get up out of the office chair and throw Alex's notes into a bin I didn't need them everything I said I came up with in the spot, and everything,  every last word I meant from the bottom of my heart.
"Lena that was amazing everything you said was truly inspiring, and people are starting to come, so maybe if you greet them it would be better, but every one outside should be rounding up others, we still have 16 minutes until they get back and 20 minutes till the bomb goes off, I hope we can do this" Alex says and I nod my head I'm agreement.
"So let's go and greet people" I say and Alex nods her head and we walk towards the lifts and go down to the bottom floor and sure enough it's swarming with people, people coming in, people searching around for there family,
"Hello everyone," I say and the buzz of noise that was going around becomes a instant silence. Everyone is looking at me.
"So there are 34 floors that we can occupy, please don't go into any areas where restricted signs have been placed or you may be arrested for trespassing this is a government building after all," Alex says and everyone nods there heads,
"I need 8 people into each lift all going to floor one, and I need this to be done about 30 times, then we will move on to floor 2 and put 8 into each lift and repeat 30 times again and so on until everyone is safe, these government agents are going to check the lifts making sure 8 people get in and will press all the buttons so please don't touch anything until you are on your floor, we have 17 minutes until this bomb goes off so we need to go as quick as possible" I say,
"Any questions?" I ask and one person puts there hand up,
"Yes" I say pointing to them,
"Miss Luther  how  do you know the government, your family never had anything good to do with the government and now there allowing you to use there building it's just strange" this man says and a lot of people pull intrigued faces and nod there heads probably wondering the same thing,
"Well one of the main agents of this section is my best friends sister meaning I got to know her and she has been helping out a lot after I was kidnapped and almost killed, no more questions?" I say looking around and no hands are going up,
"Good" I say and me and Alex head into a lift and go to floor 40, I assume on the other floors there are storage and weapons and clothing and archives, hence why people aren't allowed to go there. The door lifts open and agents are clapping and for once this isn't a sarcastic we are only clapping cause it polite and we don't actually like you clap. It's a genuine you did good clap.
"You have figured out a way to save countless lives in this city and for that this city owes you to an endless amount of gratitude. Thank you agent Danvers and thank you miss Luther." A agent says as we hear more applause, and I love it, not because I love being praised it's because I'm never praised for doing something good, everyone associates the Luther name with evil meaning I  never get applaused.
"Lena we have 10 minutes, the bomb goes off in 10 minutes, if this plan doesn't work, then we will all be dead" Alex says.
