(Melody's POV)

It's now Tuesday, 3 more days till Friday.

I get up from my bed.Surprisingly my brother didn't come barging in waking me up.

I go the bathroom and do my business.After I was done I went to my closet and got dressed.

I wore a black hoodie with some light colored ripped jeans and some white vans.

I let my hair down.I went to the restroom just to check there wasn't anything in my teeth.

I brushed them again.I don't why I did lol.

I then made sure there wasn't anything on my face.

I went back to my room and I grabbed some perfume and sprayed it on me.Also I put on some lotion.

I got my bag and phone and headed downstairs.

I then see my brother half asleep on the kitchen table.He looked very tired and exhausted.

"Jake"I shake him gently

He slowly rose his head up and I saw there was a huge bruise on his right cheek and he also had a black eye.

"Oh my god Jake what happened!"I asked alarmed

"Don't worry bean I'm okay"he says as he struggles to stand up

"No Jake you're not!You can't even stand!"I argue

"Look Melody I'm fine okay"Jake argued back

I looked at him and he looked horrible.Who could've of done this to him?!

"Bean stop thinking,I'm okay alright"Jake says

"You're hurt how am I supposed to be okay you're my brother and I care.You are my only family.I only have you left."I teared up

He came up to me and gave me a hug.

"Melody"

"Yeah"

"You're gonna be late for school"he stated

"I don't care.You're hurt.School can wait."I said

"I'm okay alright I got into a small fight but I'm good now okay"Jake said

I just frowned

"C'mon idiot lets go"he laughed as he walked up to the door

"I'm still not done talking with you"I scolded

I patted Max goodbye and left

"Learn something for once"Jake said laughing

"Haha how funny"I say sarcastically

Jake drove off and I was making my way up to the front gates where Chloe my friend always was.

I wasn't in the mood today for school.

Yea it is my number one priority to get good grades,and not be absent.

I'm just doing it so I can get out of here faster.

Jake said everything was fine with him but I knew that wasn't true.I should've stayed home.

Who likes being at school anyway?

Certainly not me.

"Girl what's wrong with you?"Chloe asked

I heard the bell ring.

Wow,I barley even got here!....
