(Ryder's POV)

I head out the office and saw a big crowd gathering around two girls.

They were fighting not physically but verbally.

And then what this girl named"Chole" said pissed me off real bad

It's barely my first day here and I'm already in a bad mood...I mean come on it's school

The other girl named Melody ran to the girls restroom and I followed her.....

We are currently at Melody's house.

She is such a sweet and cute girl...

"Here"she said handing me a water bottle

"Thanks"I say

She just smiled at me

"I don't how you did that back there"I say

"What?"she asked

"How did you not knock her out?"I asked

"I wanted to knock her out but I controlled myself"she said

She sat next to me

"Why?"she asked

"Why what?"I asked

"Why did you help me out?"she asked again

"I helped you out because it wasn't fair what that girl did to you back there,and I know what it feels not to have your parents,and you looked like you needed someone and I know how it feels to need someone but not having anybody well at least that's how you see it but in reality you have many people around you but you can't see that because you're too deep into your thoughts and those thought make you think you're alone in this world when your actually not."I say

"Well then I'm glad"
"I actually do need someone,but like you said,my thoughts make me think I have no one,it's like I'm alone,and no matter how much love I receive,I still feel alone."she says with watery eyes

I wrap my arms around her and pull her closer to me(a/n don't worry the next chapter will include Joey)

She started crying into my chest

I then hugged her tighter

"Thankyou"she says

I gave her a smile

"I've barley met you but I could tell you're a very strong person Melody"I say

"Wait you're new here?"she asks

I nod my head at her

She then lightly punched me

"Ow"I say joking

"If someone saw you walking out with me they're gonna make up rumors and you're reputation is gonna be ruined"she pouts

"I can care less about the rumors"I say

She just gives me a small smile

"You're different"she says

"Bad or good way"I chuckled

"In a good way"she smiles

"Want to watch a movie?"she asks

"Yeah of course"I say

The movie was about to end and Melody fell asleep.

I didn't know what to do...should I just leave her here or.....

I softly pick her off the couch and head upstairs,so now I'm carrying her bridal style

I go into a room that I'm pretty sure is her's

I lay her gently on the bed and pull the blankets over her.

Next thing you know is I'm being pulled...by Melody.

I'm now besides her

"Uh Melody"I say

"Huh"she says

"Are you okay"I said with a small laugh

"Yea,I just could use some company today,only if course if you want to stay"she said with a sleepy voice

"I'll stay"I said

"Are we friends or is to fast?"she asked

"Well if you want to be friends then of course"I say

She just smiled and nods her head at me

I smiled back at her

"I know this is like totally weird but like can I touch your hair,it looks so soft"she said

I'm gonna say no...as a joke and see how she reacts

"No"I say

"Oh alright"she looked away

"I'm joking,go ahead"I say laughing

"Idiot"she mumbled

"I heard that"I say

She lifted her right hand and ran her fingers through my hair

"Oh my god your hair is so soft"she says smiling like a little kid

She kept playing with my hair and I started to get sleepy

"You're cute"I say

"Nah"she says

"You are"I softly chuckled

She stared and smiled at me

"It's your first day today and you're not even at school"she says sighing

"It doesn't matter,besides I already got my schedule which is really the only important thing,the rest I don't really care about,besides I made an amazing friend today that could show me around tomorrow"I smile at her

She smiled big at what I said last

"I like you,so feel special since I don't like many people"she says

"I'm flattered"I say

She just laughs

"Hey I want to show you this one place"she says getting up from her bed

"Oh and I thought it was cute when you were deciding which door to pick when you were carrying me"she says laughing softly

"How dare you"I say

I fake gasp

She just smiled

"Come on"she says grabbing my hand

We head downstairs

She grabbed two water bottles

"Here"she handed me one

"Thanks"I say

She then grabbed my hand again...I like it

We went out the front door and started walking

"Where are we going"I ask

"Just wait"she says

After 5 minutes of walking we were surrounded by pure trees

I look around me and see no one

"No one's here"I say

"Well yea because most people think it's boring and there's only trees but what they don't know is this"she says

As I took one step forward I saw a beautiful calm lake

"Wow"I say

"I come here when I need some space"she says

"You're the first person to know this"she says

"I feel special"I say

She just laughed

"Wanna go in"she says smiling

"Sure"I say smiling back
