I run inside the house but I'm stopped by a cop.

"I'm sorry but you can't enter"she said holding me back

"I live here and my brother is here!"I say panicked

Her face expression turned pale

I saw some other cops taking a body out the house.

"I'm sorry dear"she said as she let me pass

I stopped dead in my tracks.

I saw Jake attached to a stretcher.I see he had gun wounds as I got closer to him.

"JAKE"I scream

"Jake please"I whispered at him softly

"Are you his sister"a guy cop asked

I nodded my head

"Your brother called that someone was invading the property and when we came he was lying on the floor with 2 gunshots wounds.I'm guessing he tried to stop the invader.Then he got shot at."he said

"Is he going to be okay"I said trying to hold my tears back

"I'm gonna be honest with you.He lost a lot of blood.He may not make it."he says

I just burst out crying

I can't afford to loose him not now....not ever

I'm going crazy...why can't all this be a nightmare...

I am at the hospital waiting for news on Jake

What is going on.....

If I loose Jake I'll loose myself...he's my only family left...

"Jake Carter's sister?"a nurse asked

"I'm here"I say as I immediately stand up

"Honey I'm gonna have to ask you to be strong"she said

I felt a knot in my stomach

I let down a big gulp

"You're brother is in a coma"she said with a sad tone

I stood there not knowing what to do or what to say...

Honestly what Melody told me about what had happened between us was all a mistake hurt me.

I'm not used to feeling this type of way....

I haven't seen her in 2 weeks....

I'm worried about her....she never misses school...

I go up to Chole to ask where Melody is...yea I know we aren't on good terms but I have to know if Melody is alright....

I saw Chole leaning against her locker using her phone.

I walk up to her

As I walk up to her, she sees me and rolls her eyes

"What do you want"she said

"Do you know where Meoldy is?"I ask

"Why do you want to know?"she asked

"She's my tutor and I just wanted to know if she's alright"I said

"Well guess what Joey she's far from alright.Jake got shot 2 times and now he's in a coma.The doctors say he might not make it, but Melody nor I are giving up on him.Melody has been doing horrible.She hasn't eaten anything.Asher and I have tried to get her to eat, but no luck.It hurts me seeing her like this.The last time she was like this was 2 years ago when something happend to her that completely changed her life."she said with sadness in her voice
