Hyunjin was currently sitting on the couch scrolling through his instagram as he had nothing else to do that day.
chan had been studying in his room all day so he wasn't there to entertain him either.
suddenly his phone went off, resulting him to almost throw it away from the shock. when he recovered, he looked at the ID which was unknown. the boy just shrugged it off as he accepted the call.
"hello..?"
"hello, hyunjin! it's me, seungjae!" the other piped up with excitement.
hyunjin's eyes widened, not expecting a call from the man, "oh, is there something you wanted to talk about?"
"actually, yes. it's about seungmin!"
"what about him? did something happen to him?" the younger intrigued, growing worried.
"no, no, nothing like that. his two friends living with him are going to spend the holiday coming up at their parents house so I was wondering if you could take him to your house for the time being?" the voice questioned.
"i think it's okay but is there a reason why?" hyunjin asked confused.
he heard a sigh from the other line before seungjae spoke up, "well since he was small he has had many fears, for example he is scared of the dark, storm and thunder, bugs and so on.. of course he wouldn't admit it himself. and it would be good for you to have some quality time to bond and so."
"okay, i'm glad you told me. he can stay here, but I was just wondering why doesn't he spend the time at your house?"
"well i'm going for a business trip to france which can last up to six months.." seungjae mumbled, guilt dripping from his voice. hyunjin could tell that the other would've wanted to spend time with his son.
"oh..well i would be more than happy to take care of him here, you don't need to worry!" hyunjin exclaimed happily, trying to lift up to mood.
"that's great, thank you so much! i really owe you, I'll make sure to inform seungmin about this. he might be sassy at first but on the inside he is very relieved!"
"no problem, i hope your trip goes well."
"well i have to get back to work, later!" he bid full of excitement, as i answered with a small 'bye!' before he hung up.
" 'it would be good for you to have some quality time to bond and so' is there something you haven't told me hyunjin?" i heard chan say at the top of the stairs with a smirk plastered on his face.
