seungmin huffed as he watched the taller be all soft and cuddly with a small kitten that was placed carefully on his lap as he sat on the couch. jeongin had found the kitty in a small cardboard box outside of a convenience store and felt extremely bad for the poor animal. well, the young boy was an angel after all.
seungmin couldn't help but glare at the two that were having the time of their lives. even chan was crouched in front of the boy as they admired the adorable creature, as if they had never seen a cat before.
the youngest crossed his arms, clearly offended, what did he not have that the kitten did?
nine lives?
seungmin observed the three and huffed before rolling his eyes when he heard the cat purring and meowing contently.
the red head couldn't lie, seeing his 'fiance' cooing and giggling while fondly petting the fur of the kitten and gently scratching the back of her ears made him extremely mad and frustrated. there was no point in denying that. if looks could kill, sadly, the kitten would be long gone. heck, the youngest was clearly feeling upset. jealous even. but obviously he would never admit it, not in a million years.
but there was something that made the younger even more upset than the scene in front of him.
and that was the fact that after the incident that happened almost a week ago-- where they kissed, well almost-- hyunjin has been acting as if nothing happened. honestly speaking, seungmin felt kind of hurt by that. did hyunjin not want to kiss him or did that mean nothing to him? the older even slightly avoided the smaller. did he perhaps not find seungmin attractive? well it's not like that was the first time that happened, there has been several times that they have almost kissed in the spur of the moment or because the other has playfully teased the other, or just by accident. they clearly were eager to feel each other's lips but would they admit that? hell no.
but who were they kidding? anyone, even the kitten on hyunjin's lap would be able to sense the sexual tension hanging in the air. well, chan wouldn't be able to do anything about it, he lived under the same roof as the the two. he was more than glad he spent most of his time with jeongin or studying in his room, occasionally working his part-time job.
truthfully, chan was already sick of the two being so dense and blind to each other's feelings, they both clearly felt something more than 'like' but chan would never interfere. no matter how much he just wanted to lock then into a small room until they confess and kiss = happy ending. however he didn't want to get involved in their mess since he already had a boyfriend that he took care of and well, he wanted them to take their time if that is what they needed.
seungmin heaved a sigh for the nth time in the past ten minutes in order to catch the attention of the two but all of his attempts were unsuccessful. the red head frowned in disappointment before standing up from his seat and grumpily making his way up the stairs with a heavy heart, not forgetting to send one last glare at the animal as he grumbled a quiet 'stupid kitty' under his breath.
when chan heard the youngest stomp his way into his bedroom, he couldn't help but crack a smile when he noticed what's up.
he nudged the tall made which caught his attention, before pointing towards the stairs. hyunjin looked around for seungmin but he was nowhere to be seen, he wondered why he would go upstairs when there was such an adorable kitty to cuddle?
chan saw the cat who they had chosen 'jackie' as a temporary name just so that they don't call the it plainly just 'cat' or 'kitten', sleeping peacefully on hyunjin's lap. he patted the younger's shoulder before standing up, silently telling that he'll check on the upset male as he sent him a small smile.
the older then walked up the stairs and shook his head with a chuckle at the couple's behavior. he couldn't help but be amused, even jeongin acted more mature with him than the two even though he is a year younger.
he lifted his hand up to knock before patiently waiting for the youngest unlock the door. some shuffling could be heard at the other side before the lock finally clicked as the door creaked open. chan looked up to send the red head a friendly smile but widened his eyes as the younger caught him off guard. he stood there completely stunned and frozen in the spot because,
seungmin kissed him.
