"true love kiss? you do know how cliché and stupid that sounds like, right?"
jeongin sighed, fed up with his bestfriend's shit, "no, you dumbo! it's sounds romantic!"
"well, according to his recent actions, it should be called true love grope! oh how romantic." seungmin said, sarcasm prominent in his tone.
"can't you just let that go, it was clearly an accident! and it kinda would be romantic. . . just saying."
seungmin imitated the noise of vomiting "ew, you and your kinky ass."
"but how can it be a true love kiss when we aren't even dating and on top of that, we've known each other for only like a month! it doesn't make sense . ." the older mumbled as he rested his chin on top of his palm. he was laying on his bed on his belly, elbow propped up as he rested his head.
there was a moment of silence, "so . . are you saying that you don't love hyunjin?" jeongin questioned.
"w-what, of course not . . i mean you know i've liked him for quite a while now . ." the taller stammered back.
"well you only stared at him from afa--"
seungmin cut him off, cheeks blushed bright shade of red but of course the younger couldn't see, "shut up! you're on speaker, they could hear!"
jeongin chuckled, "well since we've been on the phone about 3 hours already, they'd be right behind your door by now . ."
right after jeongin finished his sentence, shuffling behind the door could be heard as well as a 'move your fat ass, my turn!' 'no, you dumbass, they caught us, run!' before tons of stumbling happened.
"told you."
"oh shut up, you almost exposed me, so much for years of friendship."
"hey, i've been helping you so much and this is what i get!" jeongin said with a 'hmph'.
"helping? who? you think i'd believe your 'true love kiss', there is no such thing. and besides, bold of you to assume he loves me back!" the older sassed back.
"ha! caught you! you said you love him-"
"shut your ass up!"
"fine. i'm just saying but you both love each other but are too oblivious and dumb to notice that. i don't know what type of shit spell that man put on you but i'd say you know who he is or he knows you. i doubt he'd put that on a totally random person." jeongin trailed off, deep in thought.
seungmin creased his brows in confusion, ". . that kind of makes sense, but i have no idea who it could be, as you know, i've never had many friends since my dad is protective of me and i'm sure it's none of you."
seungmin's breath hitched as he got up to a sitting position, "could it be another type of hybrid? i doubt a normal person would be able to do that."
jeongin hummed in agreement, "that's possible, i'm only specialised in hybrids but who knows if there's other type of creatures out there. ."
before seungmin could answer, the door burst open, revealing smiley felix and jeongin.
"merry christmas!" they shouted in chorus.
"w-what, but w--we were on the phone just now--"
"we wanted to surprise you, so we decided to come a day earlier, now come on! changbin and the others are waiting downstairs, jisung said he'll be a little late though." felix said, excitement flooding out of him as he pulled seungmin up from the bed and downstairs with a giggling jeongin following from behind.
seungmin had a huge grin on his face, not minding being pulled by felix as he had missed his dear friends a lot. felix stopped and let his go of his hand as he linked hands with an unfamiliar male, smooching his cheek with a soft kiss. the male seemed to be unaffected by that as if he experienced it everyday and smiled at seungmin with his hand out for a handshake.
seungmin smirked "you must be changbin . . so the rumours were true, you indeed are short as heck." he teased as he accepted the handshake.
"i know right! he's like child sized, isn't he cute!" felix said enthusiastically but whimpered when the older flickered his forehead.
seungmin watched the scene unfold before him. changbin turned his head to whisper something in his boyfriend's ear whilst moving his hand to gently squeeze his thigh from the back. this caused felix's cheeks and the tips of his ears turn scarlet red as he nodded briefly.
the silence was cut off by jeongin who was sitting comfortably on chan's lap on the couch "watch and learn, hyunjin." he muttered, side eyeing him teasingly.
chan snorted in amusement, giving his boyfriend's head a soft pat.
the doorbell rang causing all of their heads to turn to the source.
seungmin's smile widened, he hadn't seen jisung in so long and he was more than excited. he heard jisung had found a boyfriend a long time ago, meaning now that they all had boyfriends, well technically seungmin had even though they hadn't confessed but they were engaged.
seungmin swelled with happiness as he ran to the door with the biggest grin.
the door opened, revealing two people, but seungmin couldn't care less as he enveloped his dear friend jisung in a tight hug which the latter reciprocated, the small gasps around him went in from one ear and came out of the other as he was so into the hug.
after which felt like minutes, seungmin pulled away from the hug to greet the other person, however, as his eyes met the male's, his smile faltered.
the other took a deep breath before sending the smaller a small smile that had a tint of sadness to it.
