The Annoying Homecoming

(No POV/Todoroki's POV)
It was a week before Christmas, these are the times that the students are return to their homes and celebrate the holidays with their families.

A green haired boy was at the Todoroki household, he just slid the old wooden door open like he always does. He went inside and took off his shoes, the sound of the opening door had alerted his older sister who came rushing towards him, "Oh Shoto, weclome home." A girl in her early twenties with long white hair and a few red highlights. "Sis has he arrived?" The green haired boy answered grimly. "Ah about that... He still doesn't know about..." Fuyumi, his older sister, looked at his younger brother inhabiting his classmates' body. "...your predicament. He's coming home later tonight."

Both had solemn looks on their faces, they stayed silent for another second. "I'll be in my room." Shoto broke the solemn silence and went up to his room bringing the belongings he brought with him.

Shoto lay on his futon, he had already put away his things into order. The was sun was still too high up for jogging or any outdoor activity really and so Shoto had then decided to indulge to his mobile phone, he checked out his messages.

As noisy as always, Shoto had thought to himself, though didn't mind he took it as a sign of positivity and he left a thumbs up to the chat before turning off his phone.

Without meaning to, Shoto had fallen asleep... his phone's vibration meant he received another text but more importantly he heard a loud grunt from downstairs and his sister's frantic voice hurrying over. Shoto had decided to peek from his room the ongoing scene.

A flame red haired man with bright blue eyes and a bulky build, Enji Todoroki or known as Endeavor - their father had arrived. He had lots of bags that he carried inside from his trip. Fuyumi was nervous and obviously shaking, "Will you stop that frantic shaking Fuyumi!" Enji had angrily shouted, "Father... its just that about Shoto and school." Fuyumi had then the courage to speak up. Enji had sighed heavily, "Can this wait until morning? I am tired from my business trip." Their red haired father didn't wait for Fuyumi's answer and went to his own room and leaving his luggage for Fuyumi to carry. Shoto then went out his room and went over to carry the luggage in Fuyumi's stead, he decided to only leave it on the side of his father's room. He didn't want to risk an encounter with his father, luckily it seemed like he was in the bathroom.

Shoto had headed out of his father's room and went back to his own, he picked up his phone and remembered that he had a message a while back...

(Unknown Number): Hello Todoroki, this is Midoriya Izuku. I got your personal phone number from Yaoyorozu ^^ I just wanted to tell you that my mom would very much like to meet you in dinner at some time, please reply. Thank you c:

Shoto sighed at this message, he had to tell his father about this meeting and get his permission to attend. He didn't want him to play with his siblings when they were children so he could undergo extremely harsh training, it would seem unthinkable for his father that he would make friends outside the workplace. He already had a bad impression on Midoriya at the Sports Festival, this predicament of theirs seemed to make it worse.

The next morning they all had a breakfast together, Shoto, Fuyumi and their father. They ate their omurice, Fuyumi had told Enji of Shoto's predicament. His father only nodded grimly to this news, "Shoto, be extra careful especially now that you're basically a defenseless teen. You won't undergo training this time because it is senseless for now." Shoto only nodded in silence as he ate his meal, "Father I need your permission, Midoriya's mother invited me for dinner." "Good, I would like to know more about this Midoriya boy as well." He had a stern look on his face as he struck a fork in his omurice.

After breakfast Shoto went back to his room to text Midoriya.

Shoto Todoroki: Hey, sorry for the late reply. I had to get my father's approval. We would be glad to have dinner with you and your mother.
Izuku Midoriya: Okay, thank you Todoroki. I will tell my mother about these arrangements and set a date.

(Midoriya's POV)
Izuku was still in his room, he was relaxing as much as he can right now when he received a text message. It was from Todoroki, he carefullt read the message, he couldn't believe it but he was shocked about Todoroki's father, Endeavor, becoming involved in the dinner. He texted back to Todoroki immediately and went down to his mother to bring the alerting news.

"Oh my gosh mom, the number two hero is coming to our house!" Izuku exclaimed to his mother. "Izuku I know, it is such an honor! Oh we must make this as proper as possible, do you know anything about the Todorokis or what they like?"

Izuku thought hard, "Well first thing is thay Todoroki likes cold soba, he eats them a lot at school and at the dorms. Todoroki also likes ice cold water over other kinds of refreshments. His favourite flavor for -" Izuku kept rambling to himself as he got cut by his mother, "Izuku it's nice you know Todoroki a lot but I meant their family. Do they have any sort of tradition that they follow? Religional restrictions?" "Oh yes! They're very traditionally Japanese!" Inko had nodded to this details, "Okay tell them the dinner will be tomorrow. I have to buy groceries later in the afternoon. For now let us clean the house and change our curtains, mats and sheets."

Izuku nodded to his mother's plans. He went back up to his room and texted Todoroki about the set date and quickly went down to help out his mother for their big day tomorrow.
