(Izuku's POV)
A sky painted with the mixing of the yellow sunrise and the blue sky, the soft sun rays passed through the gaps of Izuku's curtains as it showered into his room, his alarm blared throughout his room as all his All Might figurines were covering their ears. Finally, Izuku's eyes open and he reached out to his phone and shut off the alarm. He went to the bathroom, washing his freckled face, gurgling his mouth which probably drooled in sleep, and combed his hair that was messier than usual with bus bed head. He changed out of his pajamas into a sweatshirt and jogging pants, finally donning his favorite red sneakers. This was all routine to Izuku as he prepared for his morning exercise.
Izuku ran down into the main lounge and didn't see anyone, either they were still sleeping or also doing their own exercise. Continuing his jog, Izuku's mind went into auto-pilot as he only ran around the perimeter inside the school as he was evading all the possible journalists awaiting outside U.A.
This couldn't be evaded, the events of last week: the invasion of the Police Main Headquarters became the headline on every media, television, news, sites, and blogs. The leakage of the U.A.'s involvement made things worse and now they're close to putting up the U.A. barrier.
This was rather a chaotic situation, Izuku hasn't been able to contact his mother at all personally to tell her that her son is okay and that she shouldn't worry. He still remembered their conversation.
"It's okay mom, I didn't get hurt at all and I finally got back into my own body." Izuku was still in the hospital at this time and his mother had called him after hearing the news.
"Oh thank goodness. I really want to see you but I guess I can't with all the controversy." A hint of sadness lingered on Inko's voice.
She immediately continued with, "But that's alright, I'll wait but promise me you'll be safe and thank the man for switching you back to your body. Also, promise to visit me when this is all over okay?"
"Yes, mom. I will." The phone call ended.
Izuku finally realized that he was finally done with his morning jogging route and had arrived right back in front of their dormitory. He went back inside to find a few of his classmates already eating their breakfasts or getting ready to head to school.
"Good morning, Deku." A cheery greeting came from Uraraka who was eating toast bread and had crumbs on her cheeks.
"Good morning, Uraraka. You seem to have some... crumbs-" He pointed on his own left cheek to demonstrate. "-right up there."
"Oh my goodness!" The cheery brunette blushed furiously and turned away from the green-haired boy to wipe the crumbs off her cheek.
Izuku then headed to the fridge, he had leftovers from last night's dinner and reheated then on a pan to eat as breakfast. Just right then, Shoto had come down still wearing his pajamas. He shared casual greetings with Izuku as he sat down with him.
"Last night's leftovers?" The half white and half red-haired boy raised an eyebrow at Izuku's choice of meal.
Izuku could only sheepishly answer, "I don't really know what to cook for myself. I'm more scared if I burn something."
"My sister said that eggs are always the best in the morning." Shoto stood up from and went to the kitchen counter to get ingredients, in his hand was leftover butter and eggs.
He began beating 4 eggs into a bowl, tossing in pinches of salt and dashes of pepper in one hand. In another, he started heating the pan and melted the butter in it. He finally poured his beaten eggs into the hot and buttered pan, mixing a few times moving the pan a little bit.
Izuku could only be amazed as he looked over Shoto making him French omelet.
Finally, Shoto turned off the heat and transferred his creations, two perfect French omelets. A bright sunny yellow color with a smooth surface and it's shape uniform.
"That should go along with your tofu rice." Shoto smiled at him and Izuku decided to give it a taste.
"Yum!" he shouted, his reaction was heard throughout the room. Eyes turned right into them as they were curious.
Their classmates saw the meal, a perfect French omelet.
"Todoroki, I didn't know you cooked," Asui exclaimed as she came over.
"Ah, this is nothing. My sister taught me only basic things."
"But Midoriya definitely shouted a 'Yum' right?" A sly Denki slipped right in. "Midoriya. Do you mind if I also gave it a taste?" Izuku could only nod yes to the request of his classmate.
"It is delicious," Denki exclaimed, this garnered more curiosity and soon enough their classmates wolfed down the meal.
Izuku and Shoto had to escape from the chaos over the French omelet and so they decided to go back up.
"I'm sorry about that mess, Shoto." Izuku apologized.
"I am also sorry. I wanted to help you eat but it resulted in the opposite." Shoto also apologized.
Izuku smiled, "the thought is more than enough, Shoto."
"Let me make it up to you at lunch. Please." Shoto gave him a pleading look and of course, he had to agree.
Izuku flushed red, "Sure. I'll let you treat me to lunch."
(Shoto's POV)
Shoto felt extremely pathetic after a failed showing earlier. As he and Izuku went away from the crowd, he felt so embarrassed that he had to ask the other boy for lunch."Sure. I'll let you treat me to lunch." Izuku shyly said as he looked away, his cheeks flushing red.
Shoto had only realized how bold he was just then. Now it was already the time for the promise, it was already lunchtime.
Izuku got then a table and Shoto went into line, he thought of this as an opportunity and decided to get the best lunch set for the both of them; a delicious meal of Salisbury steak. Thick and meaty goodness of a medium-rare cooked steak paired with the soft and buttery mashed potatoes, and with the stir-fried garnishes.
Shoto set the trays with all these goodies into the table while Izuku was shocked at his meal choice.
"S-S-Salisbury steak?!" Izuku shouted in surprise. "Oh, this smells so good... I always wanted to try it but it was beyond my price range."
Shoto nodded, "Well. Maybe I also wanted to pamper you. You know, for earlier."
This was true though, he wanted to give comfort to the person he was dating. It has only been a few days but Shoto could still remember it.
Rain poured over, hitting the ground, the grass, and the umbrellas of those gathered today. A gathering of black and white, all huddled together over a tombstone. It was the funeral of Takashi Tenko.
His passing made everyone sad, those who were involved with the incident were currently present, except for the lover, Mishiranu Yoshihiro. The monochromatic colors that they wore matched the gray skies of rain.
Izuku felt most guilt out of this incident, even though Mister Tenko had thanked him he felt horrible that he couldn't protect him properly and this didn't sit well in Izuku. Shoto could only look from afar and offer a consoling hug.
It has only been a few days and it may seem that the cheery Midoriya Izuku is okay but Shoto couldn't help but notice that at times, he tends to look over somewhere and deep in thought. Reflecting and still agonizing.
"Izuku, you should you be wasting Lunch Rush's food like that?" Shoto chided in a calm manner.
This seemed to have snapped Izuku back to reality, "Oh no! You're right I should be finishing this delicious meal." He went back to eating his food with more gusto.
Shoto smiled at this and thought this was the best that he could do at the moment and that only time can heal the wounds of the aftermath.
