We arrived back at the base and I instantly looked around for Swoop. I spotted him lying on the giant medical bed with Ratchet watching over and healing him. Ratchet saw us enter and came over.
"How is he?" Grimlock asked, concerned.
"Stable. He'll live. He lost a lot of energon but he should be fine," Ratchet answered. "Is anyone else injured?"
"Not that we know of," Wheeljack said. "A few surface wounds, nothing more."
I walked over the where Swoop lied. He looked fine, minus a few wounds and scraps. I smiled to myself.
I overheard Wheeljack telling everyone that wasn't in the mine what happened down there. When he was done, Raf came over to ask me about the amulet's new powers.
"It was so weird, it was almost like someone was guiding my hands," I told him. It had probably been Alpha Trion, but he hadn't said anything since the scraplets where pounding on my shield.
"What did it feel like when you absorbed the Energon?" Miko asked with eagerness.
"Well, my amulet kind of grew a bit hot then the energon crystal just started to disappear in my hands. There actually wasn't much to feel," I explained.
"Interesting," she muttered. I shook my head, Miko and her weird fascinations.
Meanwhile
"My liege, the Autobots and Dinobots have escaped the mine," A Vehicon's monotone voice informed. "All the scraplets are dead, too." Megatron let out growl of frustration."Once again Optimus, you have evaded my trap," Megatron said to no one but himself "but I will get you, and when I do, I promise to make it worth while," he vowed, clenching his fist.
Lora's P.O.V.
After Ratchet had inspected everyone to make sure that no one was injured, I went to my room to sleep, after a hot shower of course. The pursuit of the scraplets had let me feeling drained and tired. I only meant to have an hour or so nap, but that didn't happen••••••••••••••
I woke up in pitch black and looked at the clock on my nightstand. The time was 22:00, Aka 10:00 pm. A groaned escaped me as I rolled over. I was wide awake so there was no way I was going to be able to sleep.I stared up at the ceiling, bored before deciding to turned on my lamp and read, hopefully I would feel tired like I always did when I read and would be able to go back to sleep.
"Why are you up?" I jumped at the voice and saw Ratchet in his holoform standing in my doorway.
"I woke up and can't get back to sleep," I explained. He walked over and sat himself at the foot of my bed.
"You need your sleep. You're young and still growing and you just had a very eventful day. I know you may not be tired, but you do need to sleep. " Ratchet said in a quiet voice. "Was it a dream?"
"No, not this time," I shook my head, "my mind just won't stop thinking and go to sleep."
"Just try. Concentrate on one sound and listen to it."
"Okay," I said, " I'll try."
"That's all I ask," with that his holoform disappeared. I turned off the light and did what Ratchet had instructed.
"Goodnight Lora," Ratchet said from outside my door as he walked past.
"Goodnight," I called back, his footsteps fading.
I listened to the air conditioning going, and all other sounds faded away and I actually fell asleep.
••••••••••••••
I looked around at my surroundings, tall shining buildings. Cybertron was my first thought, but I was unsure."Hello Lora," Alpha Trion said, his voice ringing out and echoing.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"In your dream. I need to talk to you."
"About what?"
"The time is coming near where you will face your biggest threat yet, the Amulet of Death. The road will not be short, your journey hard. You will have to climb many hills, and bypass many obstacles. Many hard decisions will fall on your shoulders, but you have to remain strong. Lean on your friends and allies through all of your struggles. Trust them. Destiny always has a plan, always masterly crafted, but you have to believe in your friends. But be careful with whom you place your trust in. Be on guard and never let it down."
I stood there, thinking about what he just said.
"Why me?" I finally asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Why did the amulet choose me?"
There was silence for a moment.
"It chose you because it saw something, something deep within you that it liked and made it trust you. It wouldn't have bonded to you if it didn't think you deserved it," Alpha Trion replied after a moment. "I myself can't see what it saw, but I trust its judgment."
"Thank you for answering that. I was afraid that you wouldn't give me a straight answer." I smiled, humour clear in my voice. Alpha Trion chuckled a bit.
"I will try to answer all the questions you have, but some I cannot. You have to figure out some of the answers for yourself."
"I understand."
"That is all that I ask," I couldn't see him but, some how I heard a smile in his voice. I smiled back.

On the Nemesis
"We have found it, Lord Megatron," Knockout informed."You have found the amulet?" Megatron questioned, his eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"Yes, would you like to set up a team to retrieve it?"
"No, I'll do it myself. Optimus will no doubt try and stop me. Get every able warrior ready, the best fighters, but I will choose who comes. I will not lose this time, we can't afford it," With that, Megatron walked out of the bridge, hands behind his back and his cruel smile large, determined to win.
"Shockwave, get the Predacon ready," Megatron ordered into his com.
"Yes my liege," he responded.
Megatron strutted up to Starscream. "Ready your armada."
"Of course, but why if I may ask? Not that I distrust your judgement, Lord Megatron," Starscream quickly added.
"We are going after the amulet," Megatron sneered.
