"What ever you do, do not drop me!" I yelled against the wind. Grimlock nodded in response. My hair was whipping backwards and going crazy in the fierce wind. I turned my head and out of the corner of my eye, saw Decepticon flyers jumping from the ship and flying towards us.
"Scrap," I muttered.
In response, Swoop transformed into a two head Pterosaurs, turned himself in mid air to attack the oncoming threat. He blew fire out his mouth, killing the troopers, and flapped his wings holding himself steady to get a clear shot. After all of the Decepticons were dead, he turned and dove back towards the ground, wings tucked to his side. Slug then transformed into a triceratops and Scorn into a Spinosaurus. Now I figured out why they were called Dinobots, because they literally transform into dinosaurs.
"I was expecting a giant car," I said, shocked.
We continued to free fall as Swoop went to grab Grimlock in his huge talons.
"No," Grimlock commanded while placing me on Swoop's back. I grabbed onto a metal scale and clung to it for my dear life. "Leave me and grab the others. That's an order."
Swoop nodded and flew over to Scorn and Slug and grabbed them. He flapped frantically and tried to slow their descent. Even in the dark, I could still see the ground approaching fast.
"It has been an honor knowing you, even if it was for a short time," Grimlock said to me.
"Don't say that quite yet!" I yelled, but the wind whipped my words away. I jumped off of Swoop and onto Grimlock. Both of their expressions were a mixture of shock and worry.
I closed my eyes as we hit the ground, praying that my amulet would work like it did back in the warship. Luckily, it did.
An Energon ball surrounded Grimlock and myself and we bounced. This time though, we bounced like we were a bouncy ball dropped from a high place. It was slightly terrifying.
We shot up like a rocket causing Swoop to swerve hard to the right to avoid being hit. Back down, his face was of peer confusion. We bounced like that for a bit before finally stopping.
"Ow," Grimlock groaned. "What was that?"
"Long story," I explained. Swoop dropped Slug face first into he ground. I held in a laugh as he yanked his head out of the ground, shaking dirt from his horns once he got his head out. Swoop then gently placed Scorn on his four feet before landing himself.
"Oh, so you drop me but you place Scorn on the ground," Slug huffed. He emphasized 'place'.
"Would you have rather me let you plummet to your death?" Swoop shot back as he transformed into a bot once more, a deadly glare on his face.
"Enough!" Grimlock commanded sternly. "Lora, do you know where are we?"
"Somewhere on Earth," I said, looking around, not quite knowing exactly where we where. "Let's get away from the city."
"Why?" Scorn asked. By now, everyone was back in their bot forms. Slug was pulling pieces of dirt and clumps of grass off of himself. He was grumbling something about picking grass off of himself for days and never trusting Swoop again.
"Big giant robots don't blend in all to well in a city," I explained.
"Take the lead," Grimlock said, his hand held forward, signalling for me walk on.
At the Autobot base
"You should get some rest, old friend," Optimus Prime said to Ratchet. It was late at night and the two were the only ones still awake.
"I know but I can't give up looking for Lora," Ratchet said back, never looking off of the screen.
"You are not giving up, simple stopping for a short period of time. You can continue once you rest for a bit," Optimus assured. "You can continue tomorrow. You shouldn't wear yourself out."
"Fine," Ratchet grumbled.
Just as they left the room. Lora's tracker beacon popped back up, but no one was awake to go and get her.
Lora's P.O.V.
"We should be away from human eyes here," I said after we walked for a bit. We had found a creek where I had drank some water. Grimlock had picked me up after he noticed me cradling my arm. The leader of the Dinobots called Swoop over to check it out, since he knew the basics of Cybertronian medicine. Swoop claimed that he didn't know much about human physiology and couldn't help me.After we all settled down for the night, Grimlock took first watch. I was perched on his shoulder trying to sleep. After a long time of tossing and turning, I rolled onto my back and sighed deeply.
"Can't sleep?" Grimlock asked, turning his head to look at me.
"Yeah. Every way I turn my wrist hurts, and now that I'm free I feel wide awake and the need to keep on moving. I don't want to look back." We were silent for a moment.
"How did the Decepticons find you?" Grimlock asked kindly.
"I was with Smokescreen and Makeshift tricked us and led to cons right to us" I said.
"Who is Smokescreen?"
"Smokescreen was my Autobot guardian," I explained. "If he was still here, he'd probably would be worrying so much about me, trying his hardest to find and save me." I sighed. I hoped he was still alive. He didn't move after he got hit with the Dark Energon and normally he always bounced back up.
"Was?" Gridlock questioned.
"He got hit with Dark Energon and never got back up. I hate to believe it, but I think he is gone."
"I'm sure he is fine." I looked up at him with a questioning look upon my face. "Some Dark Energon isn't normally enough to kill a transformer. I know this from Shockwave always rambling on about it with Megatron. It takes a large amount, and even then it sometimes only weakens them. It just depends on how strong the bot is."
"Smokescreen was..." I corrected myself. I had to stay positive. "Is... quite strong, in my opinion. He has told me of a lot of things he's been through." We were quite once again.
"Tell me about the Autobots," Grimlock said. "Who is here on earth? Does any other humans know about them? What has happened to the war?" I took a deep breath and told the leader of the Dinobots everything. From the day I found the amulet of life, my family, Derek, the first time the Decepticons captured me, the missions I have been on. I also told him about Jack, Miko, Raf, and all of the Autobots and their personalities. I didn't know why I was telling him all of this. I didn't even know if I could trust him. But I still did, regardless.
He just sat there silently, listening and not interjecting. He was a good listener.
After I had finished, I told Grimlock that I was going to sleep. I rolled over and let the darkness claim me. The leader of the Dinobots just smiled and continued to watch over his comrades, mulling over everything I had just told him.
