No one told FP. It's been a week since the fight and me clearly covering my bruised knuckles sent the message to JugHead not to tell. He gave me one of his old phones so I could have contact with people and the video was posted and seen by a lot of people. South and north siders alike. People at the wyrm knew but FP couldn't go for awhile because of his work schedule I thought I was in the clear, until tonight.

"Riley Prism Janes! Get your ass out here now!" He yelled so loud in the little trailer I bet the neighbours heard. "What the hell is this!?" He said pointing to a video on his phone, sent to him by TallBoy. I shrugged. "Most times I don't make you talk but today I want answers." He crossed his arm waiting. I sighed and started.

"The serpents didn't want me sitting with them so I sat alone. Then the ghoulies got me and I defended myself." He shook his head.

"I know what your dad did made things hard on you but there is a difference between self defence and attempted murder, your lucky we don't involve cops." I look down I'm sorry I disappointed him.

"I'm sorry." He looks at me sympathetically.

"Look kid just be careful, I know you can handle yourself, clearly but I don't want you to get hurt. At school tomorrow be careful I know it's been a week but still. Now I'm going to the wyrm you coming?" I shook my head. FP sighed and left the trailer.

I'm on the couch watching tv when Betty and JugHead burst through the door making out I cover eyes and don't say anything because I never do. JugHead notices me after a few minutes.

"Jeez Riley I know you do the whole not talking thing but come on let a guy know." Betty turns bright red and stays silent. They go to JugHeads bedroom to finish what they started.

After an hour or two Betty left and JugHead came out to join me on the couch. He then starts talking but he has learned at this point not expect and answer.

"Why don't you talk, does my dad even know why you don't?" He looks at me curiously. "I don't even know what your voice sounds like to be honest." He waits for an answer that he thinks he won't get but I decide to answer. He has been trying to make a connection with me and I've been a stone cold mute, I'll answer in short sentences like always.

"I just never did." I Said with a shrug, my voice a little scratchy from lack of use. He looked surprised I answered but was grateful and didn't ask anymore questions.

I got up the next morning for school. I put my hair up as per usual, slipped on some black jeans and a Tshirt. My jacket covered my arms anyways I never take it off really around people. It had some blood stains from the ghoulies and even had a few burned spots around the sleeves from dads and my smoking habits he never kicked. He smokes a lot but I on,y smoke when I'm stressed or coming down from an adrenaline high. but I'd never get rid of it. Ever.

I got to school and I still get weary looks from everyone. The serpents let me sit with them now since I took down not one but three ghoulies all by myself. I guess you could say I have a rep.

I was at my locker putting away books when Sweet Pea approaches me. I haven't really said anything to him since that night when he threw me against a wall and yelled at me.

"Hey" he said akwardly scratching the back of his neck. "So the serpents are having a bonfire tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to come. Now I know your not a serpent but your mad respected." He said with a grin. I nodded and shrugged. He smiled.

"Great, I'm not sure if Jug is going or not but if he isn't text me I'll pick you up." He went to walk away when he realized I didn't have his number. Knowing that's why he turned around I passed him the phone and let him out the number in. He smirked and walked away.
