Chapter Sixteen: Rich Bitches

Riley's POV

Things were great.  Me and Sweet Pea were really close and hanging out a lot. JugHead was protective and so was FP but they trusted Sweet Pea and would rather me be with than some north sider. But they knew what sweet Pea was like with girls and they stayed on alert. We were at the wyrm like every other night, me, Toni, Sweet Pea, Fangs and even JugHead tonight were playing pool and laughing. Tall Boy then decided to cause a scene.

"Where did you get the tattoo princess?" He was asking me but basically announced it to the whole bar.

"I haven't gotten it yet." I Said quietly looking down. I know I could easily take them but older serpents scare the shit outta me.

"You've been a serpent for what a month and no tattoo. Are you just in it for the pretty jacket sweet heart?" He sneered. This caused Sweet Pea to get all defensive.

"Hey back off Tall Boy. She'll get it when she wants to." He stood up straighter, tall boy was the only serpent who matched Sweet Pea in height and seeing them facing off looked like trouble.

"Guys we can't fight each other Okay, just leave her alone." JugHead stepped in.

"Oh look Jones the serpent prince defending a fake serpent." He spat. The whole bar was tense and watching. I went to step forward on,y for Sweet Pea to pull me back.

"You can't hurt him, it's against the laws." He whispered in my ear. I shook him off.

"I'm not gonna hurt him." I pushed forward. "Tall Boy, you call me a fake serpent but, I was the one who fought ghoulies while you wanted to join with them. I am a town hero and have lenience with the sheriff. Hell I can kill people for you and you can just say I'm not on my meds yet. I'm a value member much more valuable than you who's idea of helping the serpents is getting them in more trouble by dealing drugs." When I finished FP came down the stairs to see me facing off with Tall Boy.

"Riley, Tall Boy, what's going on here?" He asked kinda angrily. I know it's the law but sometimes I just snap and at this point I'm getting close.

"Nothing. Just talking to another fake serpent." He spat. That's it I lunged and Sweet Pea grabbed me and was holding me back. Normally he can but I was struggling so much JugHead had to help him.

"Boys take her outside, Tall Boy upstairs now!" FP called. And before I knew it I was outside the bar pacing trying to calm down with JugHead and Sweet Pea blocking the door in case I decided to burst in.

I pulled a cigarette out of my pocket and lit it up trying to calm down.

"You good?" Jug asked after about 15 mins.

"Yeah yeah, lets go back inside." We went back in and Tall Boy and FP were both looking at me, Tall Boy has a look of satisfaction on his face.

"Riley," FP paused. "Can you get the tattoo?" He almost begged. I hate needles, I don't do needles at all but I can tell this is important to him.

"Fine, tomorrow." I Said. They both nodded. That was the end of that. I spent the rest of the night wondering how I was gonna get through this tattoo. I barely slept that night I was up thinking about it.

The next day me, FP and Sweet Pea went to the tattoo place to get it. I decided to get it on my shoulder blade so it wasn't as visible as sweet Peas. He drew up the design and I sat in the chair. I was gripping Sweet Peas hand so hard I think I could of broken it. When it was finally done I let go of Sweet Peas hand it was blood red.

"Jesus what a grip." He said joking with me. The tattoo looked great and I was glad I got it but it still stung. He dressed it and went back to the trailer. We had the gang over as well as Betty to hang out and have a little fun. Half way in FP got a call and then called me into the kitchen to talk.
