Chapter Twenty: Lets Make A Deal.

Riley's POV

I woke up to a strange smell coming from the kitchen. Not strange that it was bad, just strange as it was abnormal. Curiously I got up and walked out and of course who was in my kitchen? My unwanted mystery mother.

"Oh hi honey." She Said while flipping an egg in her frying pan.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in a half asleep voice. I look at the clock and notice it's only 6:30, I'm never awake this early.

"Thought I'd make you guys breakfast, ya know as a thank you for them taking care of you." She doesn't look at me but instead focuses on the very interesting egg. "And for you being open about all this."

"Listen lady." I start kinda mad at this whole bribe thing she set up. "I don't know how you got in."

"FP gave me a key." She said cutting me off.

"Anyway this little bribe breakfast isn't gonna change the fact that you left one of your children to live with a alcoholic drug addicted dad. And didn't even check up on her once. But yet you took her identical twin off to live the rich life." I stated. I wasn't angry and I didn't yell I just openly said what I felt. She nodded still staring down at the pan and cooking. "I don't even like eggs. But you wouldn't know that, would you Mary." And I went to go get ready for school.

I feel better now that I don't have things clouding my brain. I'm still quiet but at least I can laugh and experience emotions now. Jasmine has been becoming close with the North siders of course and they seem to be accepting her. The further away from me the better so I'm not complaining.

"And then the dog died and I just lost it. The girl was so sad. Worst. Movie ever." Kevin dramatically explained. We were laughing when Veronica walked in followed by a very well dressed dude.

"Guys I'd like you to meet an old friend from New York."

"Nicky!" Jasmine cut her off excitedly and went over to hug him.

"This is Nick St.Claire." She finished.

"Pleasure to meet all of Veronica's small town friends." He said almost in a demeaning way. He went around shaking everyone hands and kissing the back of the girls hands. When he grabbed my hand and kissed it I felt Sweet Pea tense up beside me. Nick pulled away and looked into my eyes like her was looking into my soul.

"Jasmine, you never said you had a sister?" He said still holding my hand. I pull it out of his grip and blatantly wipe the back off it in my pants. Sweet Pea snickers but Nick doesn't seem to notice.

"To be fair I didn't know either." She says with a small laugh. "Nick thats Riley." She Introduced me.

"Wait the same Riley who beat the black hood to death?" He questioned.

"Yeah that's her." JugHead answers. "In the flesh."

"My my they just let the mentally I'll roam around here unsupervised?" He states sounding fake shocked.

"Nick that's so uncalled for, she is fine. But not like it's any of your business she has had a harder life than you will ever know. And she in therapy so just drop it." Jasmine sounds angry but calm. This seems to be how rich people argue, by saying angry stuff while acting calm. Nicks face clouds with disappointment at her reaction.

"Very sorry my apologies." He says. Now he is no longer looking at me but the rest of the group. "To make it up to Riley and to get to know Ronnie's friends you are all invited to a party at my hotel room in the five seasons tomorrow night." He announces it like it was an honour for us to be invited. I get a bad feeling from this guy. He just gives me the creeps.
