Chapter Thirty Five: The Arrest

Anyone who read the previous chapter right after I posted it I just thought I'd let you know I changed the way that chapter ended so the story is different now. So go read the ending if you want to.

I couldn't go to the wyrm. Not now atleast i had to let FP smooth out the whole street fighting stuff before I did anything.

In the mean time I just wanted to walk. But I had to call Axel. I had to figure out this whole ghoulies wanting war thing. I was told they wouldnt attack unless they stopped making money and if it would save the south side I would still fight.

I dialed his number since he didn't answer my text and he picked up in 2 rings.

"I guess you heard." Was the first thing he said. He sounded sad but I had to explain stuff to him too.

"The serpents know, my uncle knows," my voice trailed off. "Sweet Pea knows, Reggie some how knew everything. And the other day in the gas station, that wasn't me. It was my identical twin." There was a pause on the other line before he spoke up.

"I'm sorry Riley I really am. And I won't need you fighting for us anymore, the senior ghoulies are back." He took a deep breath, "Penny is back and they are taking back the south side. I can't stop it believe me I've tried. I'm sorry Riley all you can do is warn the serpents. Get them ready. The ghoulies will be on the south side in two days atleast maybe longer. I'm not sure yet. Stay safe Riley." There was a click and the call was over. Shit looks like I'll have to go to the wyrm anyways.

I walked in and the minute I stepped through the doors I was met with an immeasurable amout of dirty looks. I simply ignored them all and walked up to FPs office.

I knocked because I heard him yelling at someone and I walked in and he was yelling with Tallboy. When Tallboy saw me he wasted no time calling me out and calling me a traitor. I gritted my teeth and stayed silent. FP dismissed Tallboy and motioned for me to sit.

"What is it kid?" He asked. He sounded tired and I hated having to give him more bad news.

"I called my man on the inside. He tried to stop it but he can't. The ghoulies are coming either in 2 days maybe longer I'll get him to tell me for sure. There's alot of them we are out numbered. I don't know what you want to do with that info I just thought you should know and plan for it. Trouble is coming." He nodded and told me to leave.

On my way down the stairs I saw Jughead and Fangs going up. Fangs stopped when he saw me and looked me up and down with a menacing glare.

"How could you do that to Sweet Pea." Was all he said before continuing up the stairs.

Seeing Fangs so mad at me made me feel bad. I put my head down and ran out of the wyrm. I had to go back to Sweet Peas. Even if he didn't forgive me he atleast had to know the whole truth.

I ran as fast as I could from the wyrm to his trailer and I remember he had Amanda over. Not caring I went up to his door and knocked anyways.

No one answered. Desperate tears streamed down my face. I knocked harder and still no answer. I decided to just open the door and walked in to see Sweet Pea sitting on his couch alone with his head in his hands.

"Sweet Pea." I said barely a whisper. He looked so fragile so breakable I didn't wanna mess up my one chance to explain.

"If someone doesn't answer the door it means they don't want company." He groaned not lifting his head. I noticed his counter had been limbed everything thrown on the ground and other things thrown around the trailer.

I sat down next to him and he still didn't look up. I took a deep breath and wanted to explain.

"I didn't mean to cheat on you." I said slowly. I noticed his body shake a little bit like he was crying. Sweet Pea was crying. I didn't stop though and wanted to explain. "I kissed Axel the first time because, I remember it now, I was drugged and close to being knocked out. He picked me up out if the ring and i was out of it. He said I called him Sweet Pea and asked him to take me home. I was so out of it i thought he was you." He turned his head to look at me and his eyes were red and puffed. It broke my heart to see him like this.

"You said the first time you kissed him. What about the second." He saod looking away from me again. I took another deep breath and started to explain that one.

"I had alot of night terrors and no sleep for 3 days. I had just won a fight but was so tired I couldn't even stand right. He kissed me and I forgot where I was. He stopped and I immediately regretted. Sweet Pea I swear I love you. I never would try to hurt you."

I looked at him waiting for him to say something but he didn't he just sat there for awhile. I lifted his head and hugged him. This time I started crying. He hugged me back. Lightly but he still did.

"I don't forgive you Riley." He said slowly pulling away from me. "I think we should take a break and think about things, our relationship. I'm not ready to start back where we left off after knowing all this now." I nodded while looking down and Sweet Pea didn't even want to meet my eyes. "I think you should leave." He got up and walked me towards the door.

"Oh by the way do you still have you switch?" I asked him and he nodded confused. "Good, because the ghoulies are coming." And with that I left and walked back to my trailer. To much happened in one day I needed sleep.

I was walking through the schools hallways the next day when I see JugHead, Tony and Fangs with their phones out panicking. I stopped to see what was wrong and JugHead showed me the video of Fangs in Midges dressing room before the show. I panicked too because this made him look really guilty. Not even ten seconds later the PA went off calling Fangs to the office. He didn't go.

Before I could register what was happening cops were pinning Fangs against a wall. I knew that they couldn't detain him without a valid reason and I yelled at him to not resist. But it was too late. His switch fell out of his pocket. Now they had a completely valid reason to arrest him.

I was angry I tried to swing at a cop but JugHead grabbed my arm. "You can't help Fangs if your also behind bars." He pulled me out of the school. "I'm going down to the cop station with Fangs. Don't cause trouble what ever you do please." I nodded and he got on his bike and was gone.
