Riley's POV"Hey Kid, come on we got a party to get to." FP was knocking on my door frame and that startled me awake.
"Are you sure you want me to go?" I asked quietly.
"Well were basically strangers. I'm not gonna leave you alone in my house. Come on let's go. You don't have to talk to people if you don't want to." I nodded. He seemed to sense my reluctance to speak and I didn't even know why I wasn't. I never did talk very much but neither did dad so I guess that's where I get it. "Oh and by the way. That jacket is a serpent jacket with the emblem removed. Don't be surprised if people call you and your dad a traitor. He ran and serpents don't like that." I nodded and went to get ready,
I hopped up and looked in the mirror. I had dark circles under my eyes but when don't I. My hair looked messy but when your hair is down to your waist and you don't know how to style it, it always kind of does.
"Come on let's go." I followed him out front where there was a motorcycle waiting. The other one I guess was JugHeads and he took it. FP passed me a helmet and then he got on. I just stared at it in my hands. "What's wrong kid? Never been on one before?" I nodded. "Well I'm not getting any younger, just get on. I won't drive to fast."
I decided to trust him because it's not like I had any other choice. I pulled the helmet down over my head and climbed on behind him. He revved the engine and I jumped, holding on to him extremely tight.
"Ease up. You'll be fine." He yelled over the engine. I loosened my grip a little but it retightened the minute we started moving. This was going to be a long ride.
What seemed like forever, but in reality was only a few minutes we pulled up at a bar. A dingy sign on the front said the Whyte Wyrm. I'm guessing it's a gang bar because everyone was in jackets with the same symbol. I think my new uncle and cousin are involved in it too. This is all very weird.
"You can let go now kid." He laughed because we had come to a complete stop and I was still holding on to him. I let go and hopped off the bike and passed him back the helmet.
"Sorry." I Said quickly and he nodded.
"It's okay kid. But you should know that this is a south side serpent bar. The serpents are like mine and Jugs extended family. They can be intimidating but if anyone hurts you, you come straight to me." I nodded and we walked in together. Immediately everyone knew FP and they were coming up and shaking hands and I just stood awkwardly behind him.
"You can go sit at the bar if you want." He got sucked away by different people wanting to talk to him and I made my way over to the bar and sat down.
The whole place looked very rough and smelled of alcohol and cigarettes. Ironically this place reminded me of dad. I didn't know anyone and it's not like I would of talked to them anyway so I just looked at my feet and fiddled with the new switch FP gave me. There were lots of people coming and going so I took the chance to observe them.
I mostly saw the same kind of men wearing leather jackets with the emblems on the back. But I watched an interesting mother-daughter duo walk in.
The mother was wearing a tight black leather skirt and a black bra under a mesh shirt while the daughter wore a pastel blue shirt and pink jean skirt. They were total opposites.
I guess the younger one was JugHeads girlfriend because he went over to her and kissed her. The mother must of been here before because the bar tender already knew her favourite drink.
"Hey." Someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned to see a pink haired girl behind the bar. She couldn't of been much older than me. I didn't really want to talk to anyone but I didn't want to be rude. "What brings you here?" She asked.
