The New Beginning

Samuel held the tiny paper in his hand. It was given by Sister Myrna before he leaves the country. It reads " St. Martien "
it is where Lindsey went, for three months now he's been constantly in argument with himself if wether or not he would come and search for Liza or Lindsey.
The police officer at transportation department told him it's six hundred miles east of Geneva four hours ride through the train station and seven hours drive.
His monthly allowance in the scholarship is just enough for food and a little savings that would help augment his expenses back home. He doesn't want to meet Liza empty handed. The trip ticket to Zurich alone costs more than two hundred euros excluding the Bus fare to St. Martien.
He got lucky. One day he read the announcement at their school's bulletin. The school vineyard urgently needs a vineyard keeper. It is a thirty hours of work per week at twelve francs per hour with forty francs for food allowance each week. He got the job.

Lindsey smile is wide as she reads the entertainment coloumn of a major broadsheet. It is a review of the movie Antoine directed. Lindsey played the role of Celina the police officer who helped the main character Emanuele in finding her lost mom. They were all praises for the movie and they cited her acting as flawless and effective for a police officer. Publicists of different artist management agencies began inviting her to join them since then. But Lindsey would turn down all of them. Her study is still her priority with her graduation nearing in three months time. Antoine's Dad produced a major film movie and Lindsey was again casted. This time she played the role of the villain. The psychopath Ariana. While the shoot for the movie of Antoine's Dad is nearing the end. She had been casted in a low budget digital film with Antoine as the distributor. This time she got the lead role of Marie a mountaineer who climbs the Alps in the hope of forgetting the mishaps in her life. The movie became a hit. It was also shown  in France and Portugal. Many major film productions became Interested to book her. The general viewers started to recognize her as she works at the cheese store some would ask her if she's  the lead actress in the movie. While some television executives made offer for a stint in daily primetime shows but she turned them down.
She sticks to her word no more television shows just movie.
She and Antoine developed a friendship over time. They would be seen together in public events.
The press people speculated that a special relationship is going  on between them.

" The Swiss and French viewers are patronizing you " Jena said. Lindsey is on a live interview with Jena. The latter went to france to cover this year's Cannes festival then went to Switzerland to Interview her. " It's all hard work and wonderful colleagues " Lindsey said." Is Director Antoine a great help? " Jena " Yes. A director has the eye of what and how the movie should be " Lindsey " Your graduation is nearing. Congratulations! " Jena " Thank you. " Lindsey " Are you going to direct soon? " Jena " Not yet. There's still many things to learn I would still be under an apprenticeship" Lindsey. " Are you coming home?" Jena inquires. " Not anytime soon I have commitments here. I would co direct a digital film. And I have an upcoming major film." Lindsey explains. " What is your message to your fans back home " Jena " hope you continue to patronize our very own talents and movie. Thank you for the support " Lindsey.

Lindsey looks at the Lake eagerly. It's late in the afternoon and she could see some joggers ran while some are couples  would discuss as they watch the tranquil waters of the lake. She wondered why her brothers didn't went to the lake at this time. Her brothers came with their mom couple of weeks ago for a month long vacation. This is their second vacation. First was three months ago during her and her Papa's graduation which  is on the same date too. But it was short they only stayed for a week.
After the graduation Almost all of her foreign classmates have returned to their respective countries there are very few of them who were left.
Some of her classmates work at different film productions while others work at advertising companies.
While Lindsey continues to work at the cheese store when she is not working for the movie. The owner is amused by her decision but she is glad Lindsey still prefers to work for her. The store sales rose dramatically because of Lindsey's presence. A lot of customers didn't buy cheese because they need it but because they want to see the lead actress in the latest talked about movie.

" Miss would you like a cup of coffee?" The familiar voice of a man asked. She felt her body shivers. Could it be? That what she heard is real and she's not dreaming. She looked around. She  cried as she see Samuel. She almost cannot believe it. Samuel has gone fairer but weight loss is evident in his face and he has grown beard.
" Ms. Lindsey perhaps you would like my coffee ? This might be behind from the coffee you've tasted at world famous Cafe, but this one travelled half way through the globe to reach you " Samuel continued holding the mug in his hands and tulips on the other.
" Yes of course " Lindsey replied. Samuel reached for her  delicate face. " It feels a thousand years being away from you. " He said with teary eyes. Lindsey is crying too.

" I can't give you anything. I am a poor man but my love for you is real and I live in a paradise whose town's men revers you and my three sons is excited to see you at home "Samuel states. " Yes I am willing to come with you. But please let me fulfill my commitments first. Lawsuits might make me penniless " Lindsey pleads. " Of course " Samuel replied then they shared a very sweet kiss. The sweetest both of them ever had.
