9- Uh Oh

After the blow I took yesterday night Nova decided we should go out because of that and because Luke was acting a bit weird, her words not mine. In my opinion Luke is always acting weird. So I agreed to go out, under one condition, no guys she agreed mostly because the only guy on her mind was Luke.

"Nope I'm wearing jeans" I say holding my ground, Nova was trying to fit me in a mini skirt for the night.

"Fine" she complies, "Would this look okay?"

Looking over at her bed she laid out some black shinnies and a cute red top.

"You're trying to make me wear a skirt when you're planning on wearing jeans?!"

"You have to show off those legs!" she protested laughing, I swear she's more obsessed with my legs than she is with Luke...perfect opportunity to bring him up.

"So what's been up between you and Lukey?" I ask pulling over my shirt.

"I'm kind of scared of how into him I've become" she admits as we finish getting ready.

"I'm sure he's just as into you" I say as our uber notifies us he's outside, but boy was I wrong...

Arriving at the first bar we make our way inside, and take a couple of shots, a couple of guys asked if they could dance with us but we told them our religion didn't allow us to dace, they gave us weird looks and walked away. But we were in trouble when we actually decided to dance and we bumped into the same guys at the dance floor, that's when we decided it was time to hop on over to the next bar.

The next bar we hit up was a gay bar and that was fun, we danced with guys and it was nice because they didn't try to put their hands all over us, it was a great time. We were about to call it a night but Nova wanted to make a stop at her favorite bar, 'El Ranch' its only her favorite because they always give her free drinks and let her ride the mechanical bull, its all fun and games until the owner spots us, he's confiscated our fake IDs millions of times. He always gives us the line, Pretty girls like you shouldn't be out getting drunk, you should be at home studying... but why can we do both? I know he means well but its a different generation, Nova will probably wanna be here until Sergio the owner kicks us out,but I'm cool with that.

"I'll go con my way into some free drinks and you wait her for Ricky" Nova commands as I nod my head, ironically it matches the beat of the music, "Oh, and don't talk to guys!"

Waiting for Ricky, the guy in charge of the bull ride I spot Jai in the crowd and wave to him, he gives me a funny look and makes his way to me, "What are you doing here Z?"

Let me back track a bit, Jai has no recollection of the night before because this morning he called to hang out, if he was in fact sober he wouldn't do that. I know him all too well, I also know what he said he meant, so right now I'm just trying to keep him at a distance, knowing his love for me isn't the same I had for him.

"You know the usual, I'm here with Nov" I say as and 'uh-oh' escapes his lips.

"What do you mean uh-oh?" I ask.

"I mean uh-oh as in Luke has had one two many beers and he's been hooking up with half the girls in Los Angeles" my heart dropped when those words left his mouth.

"Where the hell is Luke?" I ask as Jai leads me to him, but it was too late. Luke was in a booth making out with some girl and Nova stood there on the other side of the booth staring.

"Nova!" I yell to her attention but as soon as she saw me she turned and walked away, "Way to go idiot" I snap at Luke hitting him with my clutch as I rush by him.
