Harry's POV

After the night we just had all she wanted to do was go home so I drove her, unsure if I was allowed to say over, I hoped for it; just being near her made me feel at peace.

"Harry you really don't have to walk me up to my apartment" she said chuckling and getting out of my car.

"Are you mad woman? Of course I do" I reply, needing to know that she got in safely. Signing she shook her head and grabbed my arm hugging it close to her body, God does she even know what she does to me?!

"Alright if you insist."

"You know I really want to go watch that movie" I say walking out of the elevator onto her floor, "I heard its-"

Stopping dead in my tracks at the sight before me, I feel her bump into me, "What's wr-"

Quickly turning around I shush her by putting my hand over her mouth, my other on my lips signaling to her, to be quiet. Pointing behind me, she follows and a breathe leaves her.

Taking a step forward I block her, "Are you crazy?!" I whisper, "someone can still be in there."

"No you don't understand my brother, his dog tags" she explains trying to get past me, I continue to block her path.

"Stay here and call the cops, I'll go check it out" I say, hoping she'd listen to me. Turning around I walk towards her apartment door, it was completely kicked in. Sign of a robbery I'm sure, pushing it open a some of the wood falls and causes a bit of commotion.

Grabbing the bat she kept by her door I quickly turned on the lights, no sign of the intruder. Walking down the hallway towards her bedroom I peer into her bathroom and find it empty. pushing the door open into her bedroom I turn on the lights, and again find nothing.

"Coast clear?" Zara asks behind me, turning around in a fright I almost hit her with the bat.

"Zara!" I yell as she steps away afraid, "I told you to stay outside!"

"Well I was but then I thought... what if they left and then come back?" she explained as I lowered the bat, "...what was I going to defend myself with if they did?"

Signing I step aside, she walks into her closet, coming out with a box looking relived, "Thank you Lord" she said raising them so I could see, "I don't understand why someone would break into my apartment" she said putting on the tags.

"I don't know bu-" just as I was speaking we heard a bit of rustling from out in the living room and a door slam shut.

Jumping up I step in front of Zara, she grabs my arm, "Lock the door Harry" she whispered as I walked forward.

Instructing her to stay in the room she shook her head, "No, I'm scared."

"Did you call the police?" I question, quickly nodding her head, she trembled whoever the hell it was they were in here... while we were too. I was so stupid to leave her behind outside, when she walked in the person could've attacked her.. or maybe when they ran out they would've bumped into her... hurt her or somethin-

"Harry?" Zara questioned pulling me out of my thoughts, the police arrived took down her information and told us they couldn't do anything about it until they got a lead. So here we sat in her bedroom trying to make sense of this all.

"You're not staying here alone" I say, I watch her bite her lip and nod, "And you're not staying at your brothers, not with Brooks under the same roof-"

"Harry!" she exclaimed.

"What?"

"Please listen to me..."
