This is my version of how Pidge becomes the green paladin. There's a lot of family moments and fluff, angst, Klance moments and Shidge too (but Shidge is strictly platonic).
The beginning is pretty much the same as the first episode in VLD except there was no Pidge....yet
The second change is that they do return to Earth in order to find the true paladin for the green lion. That's where they meet Katie, as she sneaks into the Garrison for answers about her brother and father.
Think of the first episode but flipped.
Most of the things in this story will include scenes from the episodes themselves, you'll recognize it as you read deeper in.
The beginning may seem boring at first but all books are like that so bare with me, twists are made and relationships are tested. ;)
