Katie... Katie...... Katie!

Pidge gasps, shooting up from her bed as she heard the voice abruptly wake her from her dreamless sleep.

Who called her name? When she looked around, no one was there.

It's now been 2 months since the Galra take over. The Castle's systems returned to normal, Sendak was in prisoned in a cryo-pod until further notice, and Lance made a full recovery from the explosion.

They left Arus, knowing that the planet was once again safe, and headed off to wherever the distress beacons take them.

Keith and Pidge practically became masters at their elemental powers, learning so much as they continued to practice honing in on their quintessence. Their knowledge spread from the different ways they can use it, to how long they can use it for.

Coran marked down their reactions when put in their opposite environments. Needless to say, they discovered their weaknesses rather quickly.

With Keith, due to his fire power, he has a hard time heating up when placed under extreme cold temperatures; the sunlight helps him draw energy, but during the night his abilities aren't as potent as they would be during the day; and when drenched in water, he can't even make a little spark. He became a burnt out candle.

As for Pidge, hers is a little more complex. Plants are used to growing in humid, moist, moderate environments. When the temperature drastically fluctuates, it makes Pidge experience a variety of symptoms.

The Alteans have a hard time pin pointing as to why that happens. It could be because of her small stature, or her youth? It could even be that her quintessence just can't handle the strain of using too much energy when not in a familiar environment. But one thing they know for certain, is that these elemental gifts affect her health dangerously. They could only hope that the training helps her, and Keith, keep it under control, so they can prevent any casualties.

Pidge slowly got up, shivering when her bare feet touched the cold metal floors.

Where did that voice come from? It sounded so familiar.

"That was weird." She mumbled to herself.

The green paladin felt a little weak as she walked through the halls, her feet clattering as it made constant contact with the floor.

Eventually, she found her way to the lounge, where everyone was just relaxing and hanging out.

"Pidge!" Lance called, being the first to notice her come in.

Shiro stood from his seat and made his way over to her. "Pidge, what are you doing here? You should be resting."

"I'm fine Shiro, really." Pidge watched as the older man placed a hand to her forehead.

When testing her abilities, Pidge over did things and used more energy than needed when fighting the drones.

She grew weak and passed out, gaining a slight fever not long after. Shiro knew Pidge always had a weak immune system, even before the elemental powers came in to play and even when being in a sterile space ship, he knew she would fall sick one of these days. He was just glad it wasn't something life threatening.

Pidge gently brushed his hand away as she looked up at him. "Seriously Shiro, I feel fine. But were one of you in my room earlier?"

"Uhh, no."

"I've been the kitchen all morning." Hunk answered.

"Same here." Lance added next.

"Training deck."
