All was quiet on the bridge of the castle-ship as the paladins were readying themselves for lift off. They were all in their designated seats, as they awaited for their youngest fighter, the Green Paladin, and mentally tried preparing themselves for the battle ahead.

"How long is she gonna take?" Lance complained with a sigh, breaking the tranquil silence that no longer filled the room.

"She just found out she was a paladin of Voltron, destined to defeat an alien war lord and lost her mother all on the same day. Don't rush her." Keith irritatingly advised.

Lance shot the boy, who sat in front of him, a glare, disliking the fact his 'rival' was giving him orders.

Before the Blue Paladin had a chance to speak, the door slid open with a hiss, revealing the young girl everyone had been waiting for.

"You cut your hair." Shiro commented.

Katie smiled softly as she put her hand to her freshly cut hair. She was dressed in her paladin amor and wore a pair of glasses, similar to the ones her brother wore a year ago. "Yeah, I figured I could use a change in style. Does it look bad?"

"Not at all. In fact, if Matt we're here, you two'd be twins."

"Yeah, it's actually a good look for you Katie." Lance complimented.

Katie blushed slightly. "Call me Pidge."

"Pidge, huh? I haven't heard that name in a long time." Shiro said.

"Why the sudden change?" Keith asked.

"l don't know. I won't forget what I had on Earth, but I wanted to make a new life for myself in space. I want to find my family, more than anything, but I also want to help get rid of Zarkon. I want to help prevent others from feeling the pain I felt when I lost them. So lets stop Zarkon, for all of our families." The Green Paladin explained with confidence.

The princess smiled, fond of Katie's hopes. "I can not tell you how happy that makes me feel. You are stronger than you realize and I think this is why the Green Lion chose you. You found your calling. I am proud of you Kat- uh Pidge."

"I am too." Shiro started. "And I know your brother and father would be proud of you too. This suits you."

"We're glad to have you on the team, Pidge." Keith added, making the others chime in as well.

"Dido."

"Yeah I second that."

Pidge smiled feeling so welcomed, everyone was really nice and she could tell she'll get along with everyone just fine. "Well, then what are we waiting for? Lets get this ship moving." She sat in her seat that was next to Keith's on the other side of the platform Allura stands on.

Everyone prepared for take off, booting up the systems and checking the engines.

"Dinotherms connected." Allura started to announce as Coran pressed buttons to start up the castle.

"Infercells up."

"Megathrusters are go."

"We're ready for departure Princess." Coran notified.

Allura nodded and began powering the Teladov. Everyone was on the edge of there seats, feeling the rumbling of the turbulence and strong push of the thrusters, making them be pushed against their chairs.

It wasn't long when they were in space and the paladins could move around freely now that they are safe in the gravity free star field.

"So what's the plan?" The Blue Paladin asked curiously, looking at his fellow teammates for what the next move will be.
