**Chrys's Pov.**

"Do you have to go..?" Leo asked me sitting in his room at the orphanage.
I smiled softly ruffling the blondes hair as I walked over to the door.
"Yeah, I got bills to pay and people to fight." I joked.
Leo scrunched up his nose in distaste.
"Don't fight people, Chrissy." He told me.
I smirked.
"Be good, kiddo." I waved him goodbye as I left the room.

I walked down the stairs as kids ran passed me laughing.
My attention fell on a little girl with long curly blonde hair and soft blue eyes, her skin was nearly white as snow as she stared at the exits door for the longest time.

Arching a brow at her, I crossed my arms walking over to the younger one.
"What are you waiting for, little one?" I asked her.
She jumped before looking to me, blinking like she had fallen asleep just standing there.
"H-Huh..?" She questioned.
Smiling softly, I knelt down in front of her.
"What are you waiting for?" I calmly asked again.

Rubbing her eyes, she yawned.
"My big brother, he had an interview today. He'll be home any minute now, I know it." She sounded so sure.
Big brother..?
Interview?
Wasn't there a kid that had an interview today or something like that, with our store?

I watched this life spark in her eyes as the door knob turned and a teenage boy walked in, looking exhausted.
I blinked several times at the messy mud brown hair.

"Luca!" The girl announced immediately hugging the other.
The boy smiled down at her until his attention fell on me.
We stared at each other for a moment.

"Oh, you're that kid I bumped into earlier. Still sorry about that." I apologized with a smile.
He blinked as if he forgot our run in even happened.

"Oh, its fine." He said leaning down to hug the girl more loving this time.
"I won't be home as much now, Amelia. I got the job." He told her.
The one now known as Amelia made a face at this.
The light in her eyes died down before frowning.
"It's okay.. you know I leave in two days, so it works.. I guess." Her eyes teared up before rubbing them with a sniffle.

The room grew stuffy.
Clearing my throat I smiled at the two.
"Well, I need to get going. Congrats on the job, kid." I smirked at him.
He frowned at me.
"How old are you?" He asked me.
I blinked at him.
"Twenty one, you?" I questioned now.
His eyes slightly widened.
"Oh, you are older than me. I'm turning seventeen next week." He told me.

I smirked now.
"I'm guessing you were annoyed at the 'kid' nickname?" I asked.
He averted his eyes for the first time before nodding.
"Yeah, I thought we were closer to age. I guess not." He said.
I grinned at him.
"Nope, you're a baby compared to me." I said checking his aura.
Just what was he anyway?
I knew Amelia was an angel, I could tell that miles away probably.
But this kid?
I was blank.

"Say, how about you walk me out kid. It's something you youngsters used to do for your elders." I teased him as his pale cheeks gained color.
Cute.

Once we made it outside, I turned to him with a frown.
"So, what are you exactly? I can read everyone's aura in that room, except yours." I pointed out with crossed arms.
He frowned at me.
"Ah.. this again." He rubbed the side of his neck.
I made a face at that.
"Again?" I repeated.
Luca looked at me.
"Some guys at my new job were wanting to know what I was to, but I don't want to feel too confident about it.. but." His eyes fell on me.
"I'm a half blood, half demon half human." He told me.

My eyes widened before smirking.
"Oh man, that's neat! We don't have a single half blood at my job, well there's this friend of mine but she's a hybrid. Two different things actually, but you." I stepped up closer to him amused.
"You're half, and you know there's a town a few hours from here that has this potion to turn you back to a human or demon. You actually have that option, unlike the rest of us." I told him with a smile.
