**Luca's Pov.**

"You want to throw a party..?" I questioned Chrys as we sat in the living room eating the pizza her and Rosie brought home.
Chrys nodded.
"I think it would do us some good, let loose and go wild for a night. I mean its the weekend and you have to go back to school on Monday." She reminded me.
Oh yeah..
I'd be returning there as a human.
That was something else I had to adjust to.
Being the only human in a supernatural school.
What joy that was going to be.

"When would you throw the par-"
"Tomorrow night, if you have any friends you can invite them as well. Its going to be down at the beach, we already have it reserved." Chrys grinned at me.
My brows furrowed.
"Reserved?Wait.. a beach?" I questioned even more confused.
Rosie smirked my way now.
"A beach party, even though its going to be pretty chilly down there. It was Chrys's idea." She shrugged.

Rosie was usually the wise one so why was she agreeing to this?
I mean a beach party didn't sound bad..
It actually sounded pretty fun.
But what friends would I even invite?
The only ones I talk to are Luna and Olive and that's rare..

"I'll pass on inviting anyone.. pretty sure they'll all have plans." I told them.

Chrys made a face but sighed.
"Fine kid, make sure you tell your boyfriend cause hell knows I'm not." She smirked at me.
Blushing I rolled my eyes at her.
"I'll tell him tonight." I told her.
Chrys nodded before looking to Rosie.
"You just gonna crash here tonight?" She asked.
Rosie looked to me then to the other.
"Yeah, might as well don't feel like walking home." She grinned.
"Lazy ass." Chrys smirked getting off the couch.
"I'll get the blankets and pillows and camp out here." She said.

I walked into my room with a soft yawn.
Would Sly be interested in the beach?
I mean it was going to be different than at the lake..
Plus I'm pretty sure Styx and Snake are kind of a thing now?
Or at least they're hinting they are.
They've both been pretty touchy towards each other lately.
So I don't have any worries about Styx crushing on me.

Pulling out my phone.
I stared at Sly's name for the longest time before pushing dial.

{"The beach? Isn't it pretty cold for the beach?"} Sly asked me.
Making a face against the wall I nodded into the phone.
"It will be pretty cold but it still sounds nice, getting away for the night and as Chrys called it. Letting loose." I told him.
I could hear Sly shuffling on the phone before I heard a cruel chuckle.
{"There's nothing you're going to be letting loose tomorrow night unless I'm the one doing it."} He said.
My face caught fire.
"Sly your disgusting!" I cried.
"You know exactly what I meant you pervert." I continued blushing harder hearing him laughing on the other end.

{"I know, I know."} He smirked on the other end.
{"I just love teasing you, you're easy Luca which is really cute."} He cooed now.
My face was burning as I held onto the phone.
"And you are a jerk." I pointed out.
{"Aw no don't be like that."} He grinned into the phone.
Rolling my eyes I smiled softly.
"So are you coming tomorrow night?" I asked.
{"Of course, you are mine. Where you are is where I'll end up, like hell I'm letting you go to a beach party with lusting creatures there."} He said.
I nodded.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow night." I told him.
{"Goodnight doll."} He said now.
"Night Sly." I said hanging up.

When the next day got here.
I felt sick.
Not like a ate too much pizza sick.
A I'm catching a cold sick.

I lied in bed sniffling as my forearm rested over my eyes.
Was I really getting sick the day of a party?
This was my luck.
I don't remember getting sick as a half blood.

"Eat this Luca, it'll help you feel better."
Melea told him in her kitchen.
"What is this..?" The seven year old asked looking into the bowl of water and noodles.
"Noodle soup, I know how you feel about chicken so I removed it." She crossed her arms at him.
"Oh.. thank you Melea." He murmured.
Melea's eyes fell to the door that opened revealing Draconis.
He removed his coat before looking to Luca.
"Are you still sick?" He asked the boy.
Luca nodded feeling shy now that the other was here.
Draconis looked to his wife.
"You're supposed to be helping him get better." He told her.
Melea glared at him.
"Drac-"
"She is.." Luca managed to get out as he took a bite of the soup.

Draconis's eyes locked on the kid with a disinterested look.
"And yet your still sick." He stated the obvious.
"It takes time Draconis, honestly you should know better than anyone when it comes to sickness." Melea scolded the older now.
Scoffing Draconis looked to her.
"I haven't gotten sick in years, its that human side of his. If he were full demon he wouldn't get sick." He said.
"You are the one who turned him, so enough pouting and get out of those clothes into something warmer. Its freezing outside." Melea hissed.

Her hand placed itself onto Luca's forehead feeling him.
"You're still warm, a few more days and it'll pass. Once you finish eating, go up to your room and rest." She instructed.
Not arguing Luca did as he was told.

Once he lied in bed, his eyes closed almost immediately.

I sat there blinking as the tears slipped past my eyes.
"What..? I don't even.." Wiping my eyes feeling frustrated I walked into the bathroom.
"I don't remember any of that.. so why does it feel so real?" I questioned myself in the mirror.
Just seeing Melea all over again.
It ached my heart.

I missed her even though I don't remember her well.
But that memory of her..
Running a hand through my hair I walked out of the bathroom to smell food cooking.
I could definitely smell eggs and different seasonings.
Just what was Chrys cooking?

Walking into the kitchen I stopped with a surprised look.
It was Rosie.
Her back was to me as she stood at the cabinet whisking some stuff in a bowl while humming.

"What are you cooking?" I asked earning a startled jump from the other.
She turned to me then sighed.
"You scared me." She said.

Smiling softly I walked deeper into the room now to get a better look at the food in the bowl.

"Its spinach frittata." She told me.
I looked at her weird.
"What on earth is that?" I asked.
She grinned.
"Something your roommate loves and what you get to try, trust me. You'll enjoy it, its delicious." She smirked.
I smiled softly taking a seat at the table.
"I'm interested, I like trying new food." I said.
She nodded continuing to cook.

"How long have you cooked?" I found myself asking her.
Rosie looked to me from the stove.
"About eight years, I took interest when I was fourteen and had my dad teach me. He was the cook in our family, my mom wasn't allowed in the kitchen. She was known for burning things." She smiled softly as if remembering something back then.

"Have you ever been interested in cooking?" She asked me.
Walking over to the stove I nodded.
"I've had small interests in the idea of learning, but something like this seems out of my comfort zone." I confessed.
Rosie grinned.
"Its pretty easy, all you do is whisk the egg milk and seasonings in a bowl and then you saute the spinach and scallions in a bit of olive oil until the spinach is almost wilted." She explained.
I looked to her as she placed the spinach into the egg mixture.
"Then you'll pour the mixture into a skillet add some cheese then place it in the oven for about twenty minutes or until its golden brown." She told me.

"You should be a chef." I told her.
Rosie blinked before a laugh escaped her, it wasn't an obnoxious laugh.

It was a 'you're nuts.' laugh.
"I could never be a chef, its not something I would want to pour my life into no pun of course." She smirked at me.
I smiled softly.
"I mean just the way you were explaining that just now, I really can't wait to try it." I told her.
I watched her cheeks gain some color before clearing her throat.
"Why don't you go pester Chrys until I'm done? She'll keep you more distracted than I can while doing this." She told me.

Nodding I left knowing I made her flustered.
I didn't mean to I was just trying to make her feel good about her cooking.
~~
"This is delicious!" I cried out at the table as my mouth thanked me for the food.
Chrys was still trying to wake up but held a tired smirk.
"Rose's food is always delicious." She teased as Rosie ate in silence.
"I mean anything Rose cooks is great, even maybe trash." Chrys continued.
"Okay now you're spewing bullshit Chrissy." Rosie smirked.
Chrys grinned at her.
"I'm being serious, I heard yours and Luca's talk. You should really consider cooking classes or something higher than Cilor, you have amazing cooking potential." She said.

Rosie sighed.
"I'll pass, I don't want to live over a stove the rest of my life here. Its not that exciting unless you're passionate about cooking, I just enjoy testing myself." She shrugged taking a bite of her food.
Not pushing the subject any further we nodded resuming our meal.

And before we knew it.
Night was upon us.
~~~~~
"So because a bunch of you jack asses whined about the cold, the party is being held here." Chrys said in her apartment.
It was our group plus Loki and Deja.
"Chrys its fixing to be December did you want to be a fucking ice cube down there? You know how cold the beach is in November." Snake growled.
Chrys rolled her eyes at him.
"Well when spring gets here, we're going to the beach or back to the lake for a week. No one is allowed to whine then." She told us.
Sly was sitting at my side as his shoulder brushed mine.
"I like this idea better, I can keep a better eye on you in a smaller location. Not worry about some other being lusting after you." He told me.
I nodded taking his hand in mine.
"So who wants to start some ga-"
Chrys was cut off at the sound of someone knocking on the door.
I wasn't sure why but I got chills looking that way.
"Did someone tell the other party goers we moved locations or something?" Chrys asked confused getting up.
"I haven't touched my phone, I don't even know who would be here." Rosie said.
I was finding it hard to swallow.
The aura was sliding under the door, I knew it wasn't fazing the others.
But I felt like I was fixing to lose consciousness.
Just like I did almost nine years ago.
"D-Don't.." I tried to say louder but found it nearly impossible.
Chrys walked over to the door opening it.
My blood ran ice cold at who stood there.
It was impossible.
But he stood there so visibly.
My chest tightened to the point I almost forgot to breathe.
Before the name finally left my mouth as loud as it could.
"Draconis." I said.
