Chapter 12

"Are you sure that you have to go back so soon? You only just got here." Yume said as Kaiyo slipped on her shoes. "I'm sure Mama. My leave of absence last until today so I have to go back to school tomorrow. I promise that I'll be back for Christmas." Kaiyo said standing up and looking at her. "Alright. Promise to call when you're not busy." She said and Kaiyo nodded. "I promise Mama. I have to go before I miss the train back. Bye." She said and hugged her mother before running out. 

"Mirai! Hinata! I'm home!" Kaiyo yelled when she opened the door to her apartment. "Kaiyo!" Mirai said as she jumped on Kaiyo. "Welcome back. Some packages came in the mail for you. Did you have something delivered?" Hinata asked walking up. "I had to order new clothes since I outgrew my other ones. You two can go through my old ones to see if you want any of them before I donate them." Kaiyo answered and walked to the living room. "I'm sorry that I left all of a sudden." She said as she sat down. "It's alright. We expected you to run off when we got here. We held down the place so don't worry too much." Mirai said and Kaiyo sighed and relaxed a bit. "I'll treat you to a meal sometime." She said and Mirai smiled. "I'll hold you up on that." She said. 

"Don't you need to get a new uniform also since you grew?" Mirai asked and Kaiyo nodded. "I'll get one later." She said and Hinata came back with some tea for them. "You might want to go soon. The police have been getting stricter on curfew." He said and Kaiyo stood up. "I'll go get it now then. Do you two want to come with me?" She asked and they shrugged and got ready. 

"I'm thinking about joining a club." Kaiyo announced on their way to the clothing store. "Really? which one?" Hinata asked. "Idol research?" She said, surprising both of them. "But you don't know anything about idols. Are you sure?" Mirai asked and Kaiyo smiled. "There are things that even you two don't know about. You might be my childhood friends but that doesn't mean anything." She said and they arrived at the uniform shop.

"What school are you looking for?" The worker asked. "I'm looking for an Otonokizaka uniform. I'll also need a gym uniform." Kaiyo answered and the worker nodded and walked to a section. "This is for all high schools in the area. Please take your time." They said and walked to the front desk. 

"Do you want eat dinner here in the food court? We're already here after all." Kaiyo asked while they walked around the shopping district. "Why not. What are we going to eat?" Hinata asked. "McDonald? The line isn't long right now." Mirai said and they nodded. "Alright go ahead and pick a seat. I'll get our food." Kaiyo said handing her bags to the two of them. "Alright." They said and went to pick out a table. 

"Where do you girls want to eat?" Eli asked as they walked. "Let's eat in the shopping district! We haven't done that yet!" Honoka said and they all agreed and went to the shopping district food court. 

"Here we go. Sorry for the wait you two." Kaiyo said sitting down with them. "By the way, some of your friends joined us. They're just getting their food." Mirai said confusing Kaiyo. "Friends? Who are you talking about?" She asked and μ's walked up. "We're back Nya!" Rin said surprising Kaiyo. "Oh them. Why did you call them my friends?" She asked, moving over. "Aren't you friends with them? When you left, they were so worried about you." Mirai asked and Kaiyo sighed. "That's up to them. I couldn't care less." She said and started to eat. "I thought we were friends Yuuki-san. After everything that you've told me." Eli said smiling. "I said it's up to you. I couldn't care less." Kaiyo said and both Mirai and Hinata smiled. "Ayase-san when Kaiyo says that, she actually means that she really wants to be friends with you all. She even wants to join your club." Hinata said and Kaiyo kicked him from underneath the table. "Aww that's cute Yuuki-san. Of course we'll let you join our club." Nico said smirking. "Hinata why did you have to tell them?" Kaiyo said embarrassed. "Were they not suppose to know?" Hinata asked. "I wanted to surprise them tomorrow." Kaiyo answered the μ's smiled. 

"Hey Yuuki-san what do you have in the bags?" Eli asked, curious. "My uniform." Kaiyo answered while throwing away her trash. "Didn't you already have one?" Maki asked and Kaiyo nodded. "I grew seven centimeters since I last attended so I needed a new one." She answered. "Did you get the proper uniform?" Eli asked and Kaiyo shrugged. "You'll find out tomorrow." She said and smiled before going up to her apartment. "Are you having a sleep over in Tojo-Senpai's apartment?" Mirai asked and they nodded. "We're having troubles with writing our new song for the LoveLive final so we're staying over to talk about it." Umi explained and they nodded. "Right they're next month. Good luck." Kaiyo said and tried to go inside her place. "Kaiyo you're part of their club. Stay with them." Mirai said grabbing the keys from her and pushing her out. "Hey Mirai!" Kaiyo said. "Stay with them!" Mirai said through the door. "Tojo-san can I use your balcony?" Kaiyo said and Nozomi smiled and nodded. 

"What are you going to do?" Kotori asked with worry. "Don't worry. I'm just going to jump over to my balcony. It's completely safe." Kaiyo said and threw over her bags before jumping over. "See? Completely safe." She said and slid open the door. "You forgot to lock the  balcony." Kaiyo said walking into her apartment. "I thought I locked it last time." Mirai said and the girls could hear them. "You did not. Anyway, here's my bags. I'm going to get changed so lock the balcony door." Kaiyo said and Mirai walked out on the balcony. "I did not think it through." She said looking at the girls. "Clearly." Nico said smiling. "I'm heading out." Kaiyo said and left and a few seconds later, the girls heard a knock on the door. "I'm back. I hope none of you really mind me staying over with you." She said and they smiled. "Not at all. We're all going to Nozomi's room." Eli said and Kaiyo followed them.
