Chapter 13

"So this is so that you can write a new song?" Kaiyo asked as she sat down on the floor. "That's right. The LoveLive finals are coming up and we need a new song." Maki explained and Kaiyo nodded. "Then why don't you write one about what you feel? A lot of people do that." She said and the girls looked at her confused. "What do you mean?" Kotori asked. "Some Idols write about their first love or maybe a heartbreak. They also use the comments from their fans sometimes. It always depends on what they're feeling in the end though." Kaiyo explained and the girls nodded. "What about love then?" Nozomi asked and they looked at her surprised. "Are you in love Nozomi-chan?" Honoka asked and Nozomi smiled. "No I just want to write about it. Something you love." She said and Kaiyo nodded. "Then go with that. Put what you're feeling into words and see how that sounds. You could have trials where you write short songs to see how it would turn out." She said and Nozomi nodded. "Then I'll do that. I hope you all allow me to write the song." She said and they nodded. "Of course. Give it a shot Nozomi." Umi said and Kaiyo smiled. 

"What's that look for Yuuki-san?" Nico asked looking over at Kaiyo. "It's nothing." Kaiyo said returning to her usual expression. "Aww don't be like that. We're friends so there's no reason to be shy." Eli said. "I was just thinking about something. It's really nothing important." She said and stood up. "I'll be going now. Thank you for letting me help you." She said but was stopped. "You're a member of the club. You should stay the night also." Nozomi said but Kaiyo declined. "I'm fine. Thank you though. See you at school in the morning." She said and left. 

"Are you sure about this Kaiyo?" Mirai asked as Kaiyo looked at a letter. "Yeah. I'll take their offer." She said. "You just came back and are finally becoming friends with those girls. Are really sure?" Hinata asked and Kaiyo nodded. "I'm sure. I'll be going to college in a month. I'll pack everything up before then so you don't have to worry about that. Please don't mention this until I'm ready." She said and stood up from the sofa. "If that's what you want. Have you talked to your parents about this?" Mirai asked and Kaiyo nodded. "They said that they'll support my decision. I've made my decision so I hope that you two will support it as well." She said and went to her room. 

"Good morning Yuuki-san and Aida-san!" Rin said as the two of them went out of their apartment. "Good morning." Kaiyo said locking the door behind her. "Hinata already left? That's rare." Mirai said and Kaiyo nodded. "He said that he had morning duty today." She said and started to walk. "I guess we're going to school together today." Nico said and they nodded. "Did you sleep well?" Eli asked and they nodded. "You all got quiet a little after eleven. Did you fall asleep?" Mirai asked and they nodded. "The walls are so thin here. It's embarrassing." Kaiyo said as they walked. 

"Oh I found something amazing last night on Youtube! I'll show it to you at break." Honoka said and they arrived at the school. "I have something to do so I'll be off. See you in the classroom." Kaiyo said and went ahead of them.

"I'm glad that you are back Yuuki-san. Everyone here was very happy when we heard that Tokyo university wanted you as soon as next month. We hope that you take up the offer." Kaiyo's homeroom teacher said. "I'm taking them up on their offer. I appreciate you teaching me this year." She said and her teacher smiled. "That's wonderful! Please visit anytime you want." They said and Kaiyo nodded. "I'll be leaving next month. Please put up with me until then." She said and excused herself. 

"Welcome back. Did you take care of what you needed?" Nico asked and Kaiyo nodded and sat down. "Everyone else should be arriving soon. I wonder if they'll be surprised that you're here." Nozomi said and Kaiyo shrugged. "Can I ask you three of a favor?" Kaiyo asked getting all three of their attention. "What's up?" Nico asked and people started to walk in. "Never mind. I'll ask you later." Kaiyo said and they went to their seats. 

"Yuuki-san do you want to eat lunch with us today?" Nozomi asked and Kaiyo looked up at her then back at her desk. "Sure." She said and stood up. "I need to go to the cafeteria but I'll join you in a minute." She said and walked out. "Hold up I'll go with you." Nico said and followed her out. 

"Hey Yuuki-san." Nico asked as they waited in line. "What's up?" Kaiyo asked glancing at her. "What did you want to ask us earlier?" Nico asked. "I was going to ask you if you could call me by my given name." Kaiyo answered walking up to the counter. "You could've told us. It's not a problem if you want that. It's not hard." Nico asked and Kaiyo nodded and paid. "Thank you." She said and Nico smiled. "It's no problem. I'll tell the others to call you that also if you'll like." She said and Kaiyo shook her head. "I'll ask them. Thank you though." She said and they walked to the club room. 

"Can I ask you all something?" Kaiyo asked and everyone stopped eating. "Could you call me by my given name?" She asked and everyone smiled. "We've been wanted to call you Kaiyo but haven't been able to." Maki asked. "Why so suddenly though? You seem like you'll be against people calling you Kaiyo." Umi asked and Kaiyo shook her head. "I prefer to be called by my given name. I've always been called that but when I came to this school, everyone called me by my last name. It felt really weird." Kaiyo explained and they nodded. "What was your last school like anyway?" Hanayo asked and Kaiyo tensed up. 

"It's nothing special. I'll say I prefer here then there." Kaiyo said and went back to class soon after.
