"Are you guys ok?" I brushed myself off and glanced at the window to see the dragon-witch long gone. What happened? "What are you guys doing here anyway? Don't you know this place is guarded?"

"Wait, what?" I looked over to see the woman standing there, her sword at her side. I looked over to see Virgil holding on to Roman and his stuffed bunny, like a child clinging to there parent, frightened.

"Most houses here are watched, but this one is a no go for us. That is if you want to live to fight another day." She laughed but I could see the fear in her eyes. "I'm Kiara, by the way. And you are..."

"Thankful." I said before Roman could respond to her. We don't know who or what she is. I cannot take any chances here. "Thanks for the warning. We were looking for a place to hide out."

"Well, you picked the wrong place. Like seriously. Why would you try to hide from the monsters by hiding in fears house? Or well, his old one. Now it just belongs to the nightmares." Virgil tensed up and I could see Roman's eyes narrow.

"Fear's house?" The way Roman said that sent shivers down my back, and hers to apparently. His expression was warning her to try anything and Virgil, just looked scared shitless. We had to get him out of here soon. I don't want him having an attack. It would not be good here.

"Yeah, Fear. The boy who used to live here before he disappeared. He was the only one that could..." The house shook with as this roar rang through, and Kiara's face paled. "Shit, she's back."

"Who?" Roman called as she started running out of the room. She stopped and looked back at us with utter confusion.

"The Dragon Witch... Who else?" Roman looked back at me, eyes wide in horror and I just pushed him and Virgil out the bedroom door, shutting it just as I heard the window shatter. Images of what happened to Deceit played through my mind and I froze. "We can't stay here."

"No shit, Shirley!" Roman yelled as he picked up Virgil, who was practically frozen petrified. Kiara just looked at the two, throwing her arms out in frustration. Virgil gripped at Roman's shirt and I saw the rage build in him.

"DON'T!" He spun around and his face softened. "Right now we are at a disadvantage. We have to think. Use every tool at our disposal."

"B-But..." I pointed at Virgil and he closed his eyes, pulling him in closer.

"Look at him. He's not doing so well. The sooner we find..." The wall behind me started to crack and suddenly Kiara grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the way just as the whole thing crumbled, revealing a pissed monster.

"RUN!" Kiara yelled as she grabbed my arm again, dragging me out of the house and outside. I heard Roman yell out and I turned to see him on the ground looking up at the very beast the mutilated Deceit. I watched in horror as pushed Virgil behind him as the monster raised its paw, claws out and ready to attack.

"ROMAN!" I yelled out lost in the moment as the beast slammed his paw down. I slammed my eyes closed and threw my arms out, letting the rush of energy encase me.

"RUN!" I felt Kiara grab my arm again and I stopped turning just in time to see Roman fall. I ran in front of him throwing my hands up again and watched as the monster froze, unable to move. I looked back at Roman, who quickly scrambled away taking Virgil with him and smiled. I froze eyes wide as I heard the monster growl. I turned around to see it slowly start to move until... "GET OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY!"

Kiara once again grabbed me and shoved me out of the way only to get caught herself. I watched as the monster picked her up into the air, as she regretfully lost her sword. Roman started to pull me back when I saw this smile form on her lips. Suddenly the monster cried out again throwing her as it did. She flipped herself around mid-air putting herself in a running stance, so when she landed she was able to launch herself at the beast. How she managed it, I don't know. All I can say is dark sides are way more equipped to handling these creatures then we are... Not that they had much of a choice in the matter.

I watched as she ran, grabbing her sword and parkour her way up the monster, plunging her sword right into one of its eyes. It reeled back causing her to fly backwards. Roman instantly ran to catch her leaving Virgil and me there in shock.

"R-Ro...m-man?" I looked over to see Virgil standing there next to me watching everything. The monster roared swiped its paw catching both Kiara and Roman and throwing them back. "ROMAN!" Kiara struggled to get to her feet but Roman couldn't seem to move. I watched as Virgil started to shake and I was at a loss of what to do. I was honestly scared and I couldn't focus on anything. Nothing I tried was working... "Stop..." Virgil whispered as he took a step forward and I reacted by grabbing him, holding him back. If anything I could at least keep him safe. "...d-don't h-hurt h-him..." The monster stalked up to where the others were and I watched as Kiara held her arm out. The monster screamed out in pain again but reacted by spitting fire at them. Virgil tensed up again taking another step forward despite me trying to hold him back. "...please, d-don't..."

"Virgil, stop. There's nothing we can do." I tried so hard to keep him back. I myself wanted nothing more than to run in there again but my power isn't working. NOTHING IS WORKING. "We can't save him."

"D-Don't..." Virgil went completely rigid as the beast bent down poised to attack Roman, as Kiara struggled to try and pull him up. She was burned, bruised, and broken. Roman wasn't even moving. The monster raised his paw and the look of horror that crossed her eyes as she held Roman tight mirrored my own.

"Roman..."

 "DON'T FUCKING TOUCH HIM!"
