"Let's go boys, the sooner we get you home the better." Kiara looked over at me and I looked down to see I was once again glowing. "Trust me."

"Deceit..."

"I know. Don't let go of Patton. Trust me I made that mistake already. I won't be doing that again." Deceit was helping Roman practically carry Patton and I smiled. "What about you? It's not as bright but these creatures will still see it."

"I'll be fine." I called back and Deceit eyes narrowed.

"You know you can't lie to me, right?" I just waved him off and Kiara looked conflicted. Deceit's eyes went wide and I watched as Kiara started to shake her head. "Can you..."

"No, I can't." Kiara cut him off and crossed her arms, looking almost guilty for not doing anything. Deceit shot her a looked and she flinched. "Deceit..."

"Please? Your the only other dark side here right now and He'll lead them right to us."

"I told you I'm fine." They both glared at me and even Patton started to look worried. "We should just..." My eyes went wide as a hand touched my shoulder, making sure not to touch any skin, and  I fell to my knees completely overcome by pain. Kiara backed up, removing her hand from my shoulder and I just collapsed to the floor.

"See? I told you I can't."

"Did you have to do that though?" Deceit yelled and she narrowed her eyes at him. "I do remember what happens when people touch you."

"Then why would you ask me?" Deceit clammed up and Kiara just hugged herself. "I'm the physical embodiment of pain, Caz. The last thing you want is to be around me, let alone holding me. Fear knew that... You just refused to accept it."

"He was terrified. Always terrified... It had nothing to do with the fact that you are pain. He wouldn't even let me touch him, and I was his best friend. Get over your self-pity, put on your fucking gloves, and help us." Deceit growled and Kaira's eyes went wide. "Now, Kiara!"

"Fine... but if something happens..."

"I'll take full responsibility!" Deceit smiled wickedly and Kiara scoffed.

"Liar..."

"Me? Never." I finally managed to sit up as my head stopped spinning. I looked up to see Kiara standing there hand outstretched towards me, with black leather gloves.  I hesitated and she looked down.

"We have to move, and I can't carry you so... This the best I can do." I looked back at Deceit to see him smiling and I took a deep breath, grabbing her hand and letting her pull me up.

"Thank you." Deceit whispered and I looked over at Patton. I could tell he was thinking the same thing. Deceit is way too ok. He isn't freaking out. He isn't having a panic attack and the fact that he's out of his room... Something isn't right here. He's just way too... "Logan, you ok? You seem lost."

"Yeah, I'm good." He smiled and this sinking feeling hit me hard.

"Good. I would hate for someone else to get hurt." The way his voice curled at the word hurt made my skin crawl. "Kiara do you know the way?"

"Yeah, because all dark side know how to get out." She shot Deceit a look and started walking off, literally dragging me along. "Lucky for them... I actually do."

"So much sass. Fear would be proud."

"Fear would be kicking your ass. You were always such a weakling." Kiara called back as we just tried to make our way through the darkness.

"No, I wasn't. What makes you say that?"

"Well for starters you would always hide behind him."

"I was what 3?!"

"Didn't stop Fear from destroying my party with one of his monsters."

"Actually that was me."

"WHAT?!"

"Fear was sick and I tried to pet one of the hellhounds... It didn't like me." Kiara yelled out in frustration and I was just taking everything in. I understand that silence is deafening... I understand that all too well. So it's understandable that they'ed want to fill the silence. It's just something doesn't feel right. "It kind of chased me there."

"You do realize I retaliated, right? Poor Fear, he never he gave you up."

"Yeah, well I was his best friend." I looked behind me and saw Patton just staring at Deceit as if he knew something we didn't. Then it hit me... Patton knows how everyone is feeling. So much so... He's the closest thing to a mind reader we have. Somethings wrong and he knows it too. "What's wrong, Dad? You look a little frightened. We're almost there."

"Y-Yeah? I-I'm glad. Almost home." Patton looked over at me and his eyes burned with fear. I tensed up as we made it to this big door.  Kiara let go of my hand and walked over to the door. "What's wrong kiddo?"

"It's closed..." She crossed her arms and got this look of confusion. "It shouldn't be. I thought you said..."

"Said what?" His voice was different. I slowly spun around to see Deceit standing there, with this psychotic grin holding Patton by the back of his neck. "Oh, right. That I got here by the stairs. I didn't lie, but I guess I should have specified when." He looked over at Patton and Patton winced in pain. "Right, Dad?"

"Your n-not D-Deceit..." His grin got wider, almost sickening.

"What gave it away?" I watched as Patton forced his elbow into the guy's side, causing him to cry out. Patton tried to run but there was this flash suddenly he was suspended in the air by this black inky tendril things. "My sister was right." I heard what sounded like someone cracking their neck and I turned to see this man in a black suit and fedora standing there. His glowing red eyes held the only color on him and his hair was in a messy floof. "You are a pain in the ass, Morality."

"Colt!" The man smiled showing off his sharp pointy teeth and took his hat off, bowing like a gentleman before returning to his previous stance. I just couldn't stop staring at Patton. He looked like he was in so much pain.

"Don't even try it, Timekeeper." I froze looking over at the Darker man as he fiddled with his cuff. "I would hate for something bad to happen."
