"Ainu, if you don't want the roti you can give me. You have been dancing your fingers with it almost for ten minutes." Kevi suggested without leaving his suspicious eyes on his sister who had gone totally abnormal after returning from college.
"Did I say so?" asked Amaaya. "I love aloo puri."
"Okay. But last time I checked, this was a roti." Emy said before having a large piece of the so called roti.
"Uh, I, I don't want." Amaaya stood up, leaving the dining table to her siblings. Three pairs of eyes held a shocked look watching her washing hands still lost in someone's world.
"Where is the other one?" Mom enquired coming to the dining area, searching for the one who was absent there, out of four.
"In her wonderland." Emy exasperately freed her hands in air.
Amaaya looked up to the ceiling, twisting in her bed, only to see the stars hanging over there.
"I will be here within a week and we will be seeing I think."
His velvet laced voice took a deep portion of her head that she could not even think of anything else. She turned again to the next side and locked the vision, shuting her eyes.
His eyes... His smile.. His beard.. His voice..
Nothing else is for thinking? She thought to herself. She pulled up her blanket still lost in her thoughts.
Ishaan..
Her inner mind had been calling out the same name for the umptieth time. Amaaya smiled, flashing a red tint on her cheeks.
"Are you for real? You were already having a disease and now it has gone out of control I think." Emy rubbed her chin mimicing a doctory look.
"Shut up and sleep."
"Well, where is your phone?"
"Don't tell me you are going to play pubG."
"Heee.." Emy grinned out a sheepish one. "There is nothing else I can do with a mental patient."
Amaaya glared. "Please Ainu. Pretty please. Pretty please with a cherry on top and..."
"Okay. Okay. Fine." She sat up and took out the phone from her overly stitched bag. It was then her mouth formed a complete circle.
54 missed calls? From Faru?
Amaaya placed a hand over her head wondering what on earth made him to call like a maniac. She could already imagine her monkey-faced bestie turning red hot like nothing.
She shoved the phone in her bag as soon as she reached the college at evening. Farhan had informed the previous day that he would not be coming there as he had some other works.
And then what happened?
Leaving no second, Amaaya swiped to call him back. But it was switched off then. She itched her head wearing a gown of nervousness.
"Will you give it today? Emy interrupted her train of thoughts.
"Here.." She handed her before putting herself in a tray of confusion, granting a rest for the wonderland she had been in.
Couple of hours before,
"So, you never gonna participate in our programes?" Lily asked in between chewing a piece of chicken lollypop.
Farhan shook his head indicating a negative reply. He then drove his fingers to the strings of guitar tuning a new song.
"Well, don't forget us." Aman said with a well designed frown.
