You were typing the last paragraph of your assignment. It had been a week since you met your absolute celebrity crush- Kim Seokjin. It had a been a surreal experience, the autograph you had was hanging above the headboard of your bed in a shiny photo-frame, but then you got very busy with your work. With just three months to go before graduation, ( A/n: Idek when people in America have their graduation. Let's just assume it happens in December, yeah?) you had lots of work to finish. Being the ace of the class didn't help there, you had your reputation to uphold.
Throughout the week all you did was going to university, eating, coming home, eating, finishing assignments, eating. You and Bogum couldn't even spend time together since both of you had to finish the work by the deadline.
Putting the full stop at the end the last sentence you stretched your arms above your head. Finally you were done. Sending the assignment to your professor you stood up from your chair. Your butt was sore from sitting for three hours straight. It was 2 in the afternoon when you checked the time. Your stomach grumbled right on cue.
You decided to check on Bogum. You hadn't talked to that idiot properly for the whole week after the Jin fiasco. Lazily strolling out of your room your eyeballs literally bulged out of the sockets. The whole drawing room was trashed with empty pizza boxes, instant noodle cups, coke bottles- you grimaced at the mess you both made. Peeking into Bogum's room you found him still typing away with his headphones on. You decided to clean the house and then have lunch with Bogum, you missed your best friend.
Taking the last trash out of the apartment you slouched down on the sofa, totally drained after cleaning the drawing room and your bedroom for the last two hours.
"Cleaning is harder than anatomy" you mumbled under your breath wiping away the sweat from your forehead. You looked around the house, satisfied with the result. You wanted to pat your back. You had always been clean and organised, so you would always clean the house. But Bogum's bedroom was off limits. He didn't like anyone cleaning his room. "I don't find things if I don't place them myself" he had said when you first tried to clean his room five years ago.
"I need food" you groaned petting your belly as it made a grumbling noise, "but shower first." Rushing to your shower you took your time scrubbing yourself squeaky clean. Wearing an over sized sweatshirt, which you stole from Bogum, and black sweatpants you went over to Bogum's room wiping your wet hair.
"He fell asleep?" You barged into his room and shook him "bro I'm hungry, wake up." He cracked his eyes open tiredly and smiled "you done?" His husky voice would always get you, but you were hungry. "Dude let's eat, I'm dying of hunger" you groaned pulling him out of bed. "Sure thing princess" he nodded "what's the time by the way" he asked scratching his head. "It's 4:20. When did you finish you work?" you asked raising an eyebrow. "I finished at 3:10. I saw you were cleaning so I tried to get a shut eye for 10 minu-" he stooped suddenly. "Wait did you say it's 4:20?" he asked looking panicked as he dashed to his washroom. "Why what's the matter?" you asked leaning against the washroom door frame, following him. "Got a hot date at 4:30" he mumbled brushing his teeth.
Your heart fell at that. It's been five years, but that didn't mean it got easier. Putting your poker face on you started what you always do, pretend. "You'll damage your gums like this, slow down. I'll pick out your outfit" you smiled and closed the washroom door moving away. "You're a lifesaver Y/n" his muffled voice came through the door.
After Bogum left for his date you slumped down on the sofa, again. "I need to get over him" you sighed covering your face with your hands "and I need food."
Walking down the familiar road you were listening to "Spring Day", the song giving you goosebumps, and munching on the sandwich you made before leaving. You were bored out of your mind and your appetite almost gone.
Reaching Rosie's cafe you saw a crying Rosie trying to lock the shop door.
"What happened Rosie? You rushed to the crying old lady shoving the headphones in the pocket. "Oh dear" she came to you and wrapped her arms around you "Jeremy's in the hospital, he fainted again. I have to go now and Ava didn't come today so I'm closing the shop" she whimpered still crying. "Everything will be okay, Rosie. Jeremy's a strong boy, he'll be alright" you hugged her fragile body to your chest, a tear slipping your eyes. "Don't worry about the shop, I'll keep it open till 5:30" you wiped her tears "go to Jeremy now, okay."
Jeremy was Rosie's grandson, her only family left, and he had leukemia. He's a cute little 8 year old. You knew Rosie needed the money for his treatment and you also knew he had only a few more years. Being a medical student you understood the situation and you had got him the best doctor, your favorite professor, Dr. Kang.
"Thanks a lot dear, I'll leave now" Rosie kissed your cheeks and left in a hurry. You made yourself a latte and started the music from your phone. Cleaning the counter you started thinking about ways to get over a certain Park Bogum. You used to imagine him sitting in front of you in a warm cafe, holding your hands, telling you how much he loved you. But they were just your imaginations. Singing along with BTS in the empty cafe, you started going through your messages.
"Don't wait up tonight, I'll be out. Be safe, love ya." You closed your eyes at that. Why can't I fall for someone who is available!" You growled cupping your face with your hand "I hate my life."
"You shouldn't. Love yourself" came a broken English reply. It was Kim Seokjin in all his glory.
"Now I definitely don't" you mumbled flashing him a starstruck smile.
"Omo! Aren't you the purse girl? We met yesterday" Jin asked scrunching his nose cutely. He recognized her deep black eyes and sweet smile from yesterday. "Sorry for being rude to you yesterday. I was tired" Jin bowed, his manners taking over.
"No no, it's fine. What would you like to order though?" she asked smiling, trying to spare him the embarrassment. Jin appreciated that.
"One caramel macchiato and two iced americanos for take away" he said looking around the cafe, liking the homey ambiance, already planning future visits.
"yeojeonhi nae ipga-en geudae hyang-gi dalkomhae" she sang softly, smiling. "No cafe latte?" she asked teasingly preparing the coffees.
Jin was caught off guard "what?" Her smile faded at that. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable" she apologized quickly and avoided eye contact. Jin didn't like the sad expression of her face. "No no, I was looking around the cafe, it's nice. You own it?" he tried his best to do damage control.
"Nah, it belongs to my friend. Thanks, I'll let her know" she smiled lightly. Jin felt relieved at that for some reason.
She slid a coffee holder and a box towards him. Jin raised an eyebrow at that. "I didn't order anythi..." "It's on me" she smiled brightly "as an apology gift for yesterday and also just a little gift for my bias."
Jin paid for the food and grinned too. "Thanks, you didn't have to really.
"It's fine. It's my favorite cookie by the way, enjoy." She was still smiling lightly, waving. "Bye. Please visit again"
"I will" Jin said "Y/n" reading the name tag.
(a/n: Sorry, I know it's shitty. It's a filler though. I'll try my best next time.)
