You move your face away from his hand before standing up straight. "Once again I am sorry Sir, but my answer still stands. Besides, I couldn't possibly leave a team that cares for me this much." You explain to him while removing your hand from his to hold up your team's recommendation essays before giving them back to him.

"Like I said thank you very much for the opportunity, but I would rather stay in my current position. I hope you can understand." You say as you back away from the man in front of you and start heading towards the door. He nods his head in a short, but sharp motion before stepping in front of you to hold the door and see you out of the room. "Of course. I only wish I had that type of devotion on my team. Best of luck (Y/N)." and with that, you left to go tell your team just how much you appreciated them.

Wesker's point of view

Wesker closed the door behind you. "That did not go quite as expected." he mumbled to himself while skimming through the letters of recommendation. Your team leader, a young Lieutenant by the name of Marvin had delivered them to Wesker personally very shortly after you turned in your application, even though no one had asked for them. He remembered thinking it was quite a nuisance it was at the time to have to read through the letters but held onto them to use as some sort of sentimental leverage in case something like this happened. Though he had to admit he had not planned on actually having to use them the way he did, but when you came in and had already decided to stay on your team he really had no other choice but to try. The only thing that bothered him now was that Umbrella had requested your presence on the team.

"They won't be happy to hear you refused, though I can't imagine what they would want with you I am sure they will not let you go that easily." He thought to himself with a smirk before sitting down to read over your file once more in the time he had left before he could leave. "I hate to have to be the one to explain this to Umbrella, perhaps I can try to go over (Y/N)'s head and speak with Irons at lunch. As revolting as he might be his temper is nothing compared to Sergei's power in the company." Wesker went over in his head.

Your point of view

You quickly made your way over your work area in search of Marvin and your team. Luckily they were already waiting for you, gathered by your desk to hear the news. You quickly ran up to them and threw your arms around them. "You guys all wrote letters for me?" you asked them with tears in your eyes. "Yea Marvin made us all talk you up so you would get the job. I just think he wants to get rid of you, I know I do." Brain joked with a smile on his face. You hit him in the arm lightly and laughed it off. "So when do you start?" Marvin asked clearly waiting for an answer, even more so than the rest of your team. "This was really important to him, huh?" You thought to yourself a bit saddened that you would have to break it to him. You looked off to the side and messed with the belt loops on your pants.

"I don't." You stated quietly almost to yourself. "What? Do I have to go knock some sense into that Captian?!" M.J. responded completely ready to pin Wesker to a wall and give him a piece of his mind. "No, it's not like that. I declined the job." You explained to them calmly holding M.J. by the arm so he wouldn't do anything stupid. "Why?" Kevin asked obviously confused at your choice. "I would just rather stay here with all of you, you're my team." You explained with a smile the tears coming back to you and some of the other members as well.

"Well, I'm glad you're staying I would have missed you too much if you had left us." M.J. said giving you a big hug. "Yea it's probably for the best, this team would have fallen apart in ten seconds flat without you. Right, Marvin?" Brain asked, though no one answered. Marvin was gone, slowly walking away from the group and out of the work area. "Marvin wait." you called after him softly about to chase after him when Kevin grabbed your arm. "He's just a little upset, he was really hoping this would be a great opportunity for you. He'll be back to normal tomorrow just wait." He explained giving you a small hug before the other two joined in. "I'm dying." Kevin breathed out of the hug. "For the last time affection won't kill you." M.J. argued. "No, but I will kill you if you don't stop complaining all the time." Brain added. "I should really be getting back to work you guys, thanks for everything though." You said, effectively breaking the hug. They all shrugged of their effort as no problem and went back to their desk to work, but what they did was very important to you. You really did care deeply for your team.
