Part 14

Day 2 of trial....

Everyone enters the courthouse and takes a seat. Zach had a couple of band-aids on him and was kind of weak. He needed help getting up this morning and he was very sore. Zach at the end of the row of chairs we were at. Kaiya then comes up to Zach acting all innocent. Kaiya whispers something in Zach's ear.

Kaiya: *whispering* You are not going to testify

Zach: *whispering* that's what you thought last night but sorry I'm still testifying

Kaiya: Just you wait

Kaiya then storms off to her seat. The judge comes and the trial begins. We saw Mia and Daniel but we weren't allowed to say anything to them at all until after the trial. Parker was answering questions first and that means this wasn't going to be a good start.

Parker: I would like to call Zach Herron to the stand.

Zach stood up and slowly walked up to the stand and said the oath. He took a seat and Parker had this look that he was ready to destroy him

Parker: Zach.. you look a little messed up.. what happened there

Zach: Last night.. Kaiya White.... kidnapped me and held me in a abandoned warehouse. She sliced my cheek and left bruises. Jack and Jonah found me a few hours later. Everyone saw me afterwards. If you don't believe me... ask Jack and Jonah

Parker: I don't need to. This isn't about Kaiya--

Zach: But... Kaiya also said something to me

Parker: And what was that?

Zach: That Connor would beat her and then an hour later, he would be perfectly fine. She said that Connor may have gone to a doctor without anyone knowing. She thinks it's bipolar but you guys don't have the medical records to prove it

Parker: That's why it is out of the question

Next thing we know, someone opens the courtroom's door. It was Tatum. As she was passing by she gave Anna a little wink and headed toward Danvers and Mayfair. She taps Danvers shoulder and hands him the file. She then takes the nearest seat. Danvers and Mayfair look at the file.

Mayfair: Actually Parker.. it isn't out of the question

Parker: What do you mean?

Mayfair: Your honor.. this file has medical records that Connor had and he paid for the sessions with his own money

Parker: That can't be

Parker grabs the paper and scans through it.

Judge: Do we have to put this into evidence

Zach: I wouldn't. It clearly shows that Connor was messed up in the head and it got to the point where he was willing to kill someone. I think this shows that Mia and Daniel are innocent

Parker: Mr. Herron. I'm not done with you

Zach: Continue then

Parker: You were also there to save Mia correct?

Zach: Yes

Parker: Were you the same distance away from Mia as Jonah was? Which was... a foot away

Zach: Yes

Parker: So you could've seen who shot Connor

Zach: In an act of self defense... it was Daniel

Parker: But Daniel wasn't getting hurt so why is it self defense?

Zach: Second hand self defense. Mia couldn't do anything so Daniel was doing something so he wouldn't lose someone very important in his life
