Part 42

We arrived at Kaiya's house and saw that no cars were in the driveway and they didn't have a garage so they weren't home. We walk up to the door and try and find a way in.

Mia: Daniel..there's a open window on the second story. Help me get up there.

Daniel: You are 5 and a half months pregnant! No way in hell!

Sydnie: Let me up there. I'll let you guys in once I get to the front door.

Mia: Be careful.

Daniel and Jack lift Sydnie up and and she slides through the window. We wait a couple of moments and then Sydnie opens the door.

Sydnie: I don't anyone dangerous is inside. Let's hurry.

We all go inside and search inside. We checked rooms and there was nothing. I decided to go check the basement and see if they were there. I look around and I see a body..looking kind of limp. It was Jonah. He looked half dead and bleeding everywhere with a few missing teeth.

Mia: Zach! Daniel! Help!

Zach and Daniel rush down to see Jonah.

Zach: Is he okay?

Daniel: We need to get him to a hospital.

Mia: Where's Jacque though? She has to be here.

Daniel: Maybe the others are looking for her.

Mia: Take Jonah to the car and take him to the hospital. We'll take it from here. We'll be safe.

Daniel: Promise?

Mia: Promise.

Daniel and I kiss. After that, Zach and Daniel take him to the car.

Anna: Jacque isn't in the house. Where are they going?

Mia: Hospital so Jonah doesn't die.

Jack: Why..on all days. We might have to postpone the tour.

Anna: Let's hope they recover then.

Sydnie: Guys..if Jacque isn't here..where is she?!

All of a sudden, we hear a gun cock. We all turn and see the one and only Kaiya.

Kaiya: Somewhere that you will never find her.

Mia: Kaiya..please.

Kaiya: No well in hell! I'll shoot at you. Have you and your baby girl die.

Mia: I don't know what I've done—

Kaiya: What you've done?! You killed my brother! You have taken everything from me!

Mia: I didn't kill your brother. Your brother was mentally ill..records even show that. He almost killed me. It was the right thing to do. I haven't taken anything from you in the whole time I've known you. You weren't adopted—

Kaiya: Don't pull the adopted card!—

Mia: Let me finish!!... I'm really adopted. My dad and mom got a divorce, dad left me, my mom basically disowns me now. My life is worse then yours. Granted you lost someone but you have others. You don't need this. Jacque never did anything either. She has a family who loves her dearly and they would be in the same position as you but with you and the end of the end. Zach at the trigger.

Kaiya: Sorry for your pity but you're never gonna see Jacque again. She'll be dead within 12 hours.

Sydnie: Can you at least put down the gun.

Mia: What is it you want?

Kaiya: You know what I want..Zach.

Mia: Zach's taken. You can't have him.

Kaiya: Let me have at least 5 minutes to talk with him.

Jack: Not over my dead body!

Mia: Kaiya..we'll leave. There is no way for us to find her so we give up. I guess.

Kaiya: Seriously?

Mia: Yeah. Guys let's go.

We all walk out and head down the street. We stop at the stop sign. While we wait for Daniel.

Anna: Mia..what was that!

Mia: I was joking. Remember that necklace with the tracking device?

Anna: Yeah.?

Mia: I have her location. Daniel will be here soon.

After a couple of minutes, Daniel pulls up and we all get in the car.

Daniel: Where is she?

Mia: It's weird but she's at your venue for your tour in LA

Anna: Out of all places?

Sydnie: Freaky.

Jack: She doesn't have time. Let's go!

We drive all the way to venue and find a way in through the back. The venue is really big so she could literally be anywhere. We search all over the place, high and low. Then, we heard someone yelling.

Anna: I found her!

We all run to where Anna is and see Jacque in much worse condition then Jonah was. She looked like her leg and arm were broken. Bleeding all over and also lost a couple of teeth. We all help and carry her to the car. We rush to the hospital and take her to the ER.

Mia: Help us. My friend got attacked and she's dying.

Nurse: We'll take her from there.

Mia: Thank you. Daniel..is Zach with Jonah?

Daniel: They made us go home so we recover. Zach will stay here since he is family. On the other hand, we need to get home.

Mia: Okay. Let's go then.

We drop off Sydnie and Jack at their house and then we got home. Keri and Jeff came rushing out and gave us a big hug.

Keri: Did you find them?

Mia: Yeah. They aren't so well.

Anna: Beaten up pretty badly.

Jeff: Go takes some showers and go to bed. Tour is in 2 weeks!

Daniel: Okay dad. We will.

We all go inside and takes some hot showers one at a time. The water felt so nice and soothing after a hetic day we had.

Mia: Corbyn landed in New York and arrived at the hospital. Christina is almost ready to push.

Daniel: She's bringing 2 lovely twins in the world and you are going to be bringing the best baby girl in the world.

Mia: 4 and a half more months and she's here.

Daniel: We need to get nursery ready. We can add in this room. The room is pretty big.

Mia: We can. But college?

Daniel: Oh...do they know about your pregnancy.

Mia: We can buy an apartment near campus and they have daycares. Some of my classes will be online so I'll be okay.

Daniel: You sure.?

Mia: I am. Now let's get some sleep.

Daniel: Okay my love bug. Goodnight.

We got into bed and passed out a few minutes later. We graduated and saved 2 friends lives. Pretty heroic but I'm getting pretty tired of it. I wish Kaiya would understand.
