The Night That Changed Everything

Maya's POV

All I remember from last night is going to that club with Miles and having a couple drinks...okay, 10 drinks.

Next thing I knew we were dancing really really close to each other and then we were back at my house with me pushed against the kitchen island, making out with my ex husband.

I remember going up to my room with him and that's it. then I woke up this morning with Miles next to me in his old spot in bed.

I turned to wake him up,

"Miles, wake up!"

"Mmm, what?" he said sitting up rubbing his eyes

"Miles..."

"Did we have sex last night?" he asked

"I think we did...oh my god, we cheated!" I said looking scared

"Oh god, Zoe's gonna kill me!" He said putting his head in his hands

"Zig can't find out about this!" I said

"Zig? neither of them can know!" Miles said throwing his hands up in the air

"Wait...the girls can't find out about this." I said looking at my ex husband

"They won't find out Maya...I promise!" Miles said rubbing my arms like he used to

Miles returned home that morning to find Zoe sitting in the living room waiting for him, she looked mad.

"Why are you getting home so late?" she asked with an angry look on her face

"Oh, I uh...got really drunk so I asked Maya if I could stay at her house." he said walking into the living room

"Where did you sleep?" The look on Zoe's face stayed

"On the couch. Maya told me I could come and sleep in bed with her but I told her no...I have you." He said sitting next to her and rubbing her arms

"Stop doing that." she said

"Why, what did I do?" he watched as she stood up

"Don't rub my arms. I hate when you do that." she said looking straight at him

"Why?" he asked confused

"Because, because, be.........you used to do that to Maya." she said looking down

"So? why can't I do it to you too?" he asked

"Because I don't want to be your rebound!" she started to raise her voice

"Your not my rebound! I love you!"

"But do you still love Maya?"

"I, I d......I don't know." He looked down

Zoe grabbed the bag that she had sitting in the room and walked to the door

"Call me when you know whether you want me....or your wife." she opened the door

"No Zoe don't do it! don't leave me! please...." he said running to her

"I love you Miles." she said hugging him

"I love you too Maya." he said

He didn't know that he just said his ex wife's name instead of his girlfriends

"See Miles! you said Maya instead of my name! I know that you slept with her last night!" She walked out the door in a jealous rage and slammed the front door

Miles slid down the door and said to himself, "what the hell did I just do?"
