Summary:
Peter wakes up with a bad feeling...
//
[Peter]
I woke up with a sinking feeling in my stomach. I wasn't sure why, but I definitely knew something bad was going to happen today. I sat up and stretched, yawning. It was currently 6:52 am. I had to leave for school in 28 minutes. I grabbed some clothes and went to take a quick shower, finishing getting ready afterward.
When I stepped into the kitchen, I noticed May wasn't up. I guess that meant she didn't have the morning shift today. I didn't wake her up because I knew she deserved the sleep. I put my lunch together and wrote a little note for her to see when she got up.
I grabbed my backpack and started my walk to school. Sure, it took longer than necessary. Sure, I could just swing to school and get about 10 minutes more sleep. But I enjoyed the walk. The city wasn't bustling with people this early in the morning. Usually just early morning workers, school buses, and kids driving to school.
I plugged my earbuds in and escaped to my world of music. I still couldn't shake the bad feeling in my stomach. I tried my best to ignore it, but it was so prominent. I pushed it as far back as it would go and continued my walk, already about halfway there.
I walked into the building just as the first bell rang marking the beginning of the day. I had 10 minutes to put my stuff away and get to first period. My first period was English, which was one of my best classes. I loved the teacher and we had a lot of fun with our assignments. And I didn't have Flash in my class, which was a huge plus.
The second bell rang a few minutes after I had gotten to my seat. I was talking to MJ as the announcements came on. We said the pledge and had our moment of silence, and then began class. Today we were just reading, so the class flew by. Before I knew it, I was making my way to second. My second period was Chemistry.
It was a fun class, but I didn't have any friends in there as they were all juniors or seniors. I had some people I talked with occasionally, but no real friends.
Today we did some worksheets and book work, which was kinda boring, but not awful. This was my first block class of the day, which meant it was an hour and a half long. But it eventually ended, the bell breaking the silence that had settled upon our class. I got my stuff together and walked to third period, which was Spanish.
I excelled in Spanish, but that's mainly because I was taught Spanish since I was 4. It was second nature to me at this point. It was honestly pointless for me to take the class, but I had to have the credit to graduate. Easy A, I guess.
We just did some conjugation worksheets and vocabulary exercises. The class went by quickly as we were allowed to work by ourselves and listen to music.
As the bell rang, I walked out, saying adios to the teacher. I made my way to the library for lunch. I always went there because the loud lunchroom combined with my super-hearing just made me crazy. I'd eat in 4th period, as it was just an online class and the teacher watching us didn't care about us eating in class.
I read the book we had for English for the entirety of lunch. Too quickly the bell rang and I started towards the online room. I took an online Norse mythology class, which was probably cheating considering I knew two Norse gods, but hey, it was the only choice I had for fourth, ok?
That class went quickly too, and soon enough it was time for fifth. The dreaded class: gym. Not that I hated gym, but I did. I had to hold back extremely since I had super strength, which made everyone think I was either very weak or just lazy.
