Part 2 to 'Interruptions [pt.1] // Irondad?'

[Peter]

I tried my hardest to fall back asleep, but I just couldn't. My mind kept wandering to Bucky. Was he ok? Was he hurt? Was he dying? Did something happen to his brain during cryo? Too many questions bounced around in my head. I gave up and tried to just focus on my music as we drove to the tower. I normally would've gone home today, but I knew I had to visit him. He needed all the support we could give him, and Tony and Bruce needed my brain to make sure we could figure out exactly what happened.

We got to the tower in about 20 minutes, and I jumped out as soon as we parked, practically running to the doors. I was so worried and it was just getting worse.

"Tony and Bruce are requesting you in the labs, would you like me to bring you there?" FRIDAY asked as I got in the elevator.

"Yes, and make it quick. Thank you, FRIDAY." I replied, taking a deep breath. Everything was going to be ok, I knew it was. Because we had the smartest minds in the world working on it. He's going to be ok.

I stepped out of the elevator and into the hallway in front of the lab, setting my bag down against the wall. I walked into the room and immediately was pulled over to a board by Bruce.

"Kid, thank god you're here. Shuri's going to be at least 2 more hours. She sent us all the information and stuff, but we can't do much until she actually gets here. It's all on the board, go take a look." Tony told me, speaking faster than ever. Both he and Bruce shared the same freaked look, which made me more nervous. If two of the smartest people in the world were wigging out, then how bad was it?

I walked over and examined the information. According to Shuri, when they released him from cryo, he didn't wake up correctly. He was conscious, but barely. Something in his brain was affected by the wiping of all things Hydra. Our job is to keep him stable and find out as much as we can until she gets here, and then we can fix it. We will be able to fix it, easily too from what I read, but not until she gets here.

I took another deep breath and turned back to the two. "It's going to be ok." I started, saying it mostly for myself. "We will fix him and he'll be back to normal. And not just Winter Soldier normal, Bucky Barnes normal. Let's just use the time until Shuri gets here as brainstorming time. We have two of the smartest people in the world in a room together, I'm sure we can think of something to figure this all out. So, what have you two come up with?"

"We know some part of his brain was affected during the wiping, which probably means that while they were wiping all the Hydra stuff out, it was so much it just grabbed onto some other things it shouldn't have. If we can refreeze him and go in to see what exactly happened, we can fix it quickly. Bruce said that he actually somewhat expected this to happen and had already started thinking of a way to reverse it." Tony informed me, sitting down and taking a coffee from Dum-E.

"Good. That's good. We can work with that. What's Bruce's reversal?" I asked, looking to said person.

"I figured that if there were too many things hard-wired into his head from the creation of the Winter Soldier, then they obviously had to dig deep to rid him of it when fixing him. If we refreeze him then we can go in to find the exact things that have been messed up. I have a sort of concoction to revive his memories and things that were removed. We inject the serum into his bloodstream and it immediately starts to work. Then we do whatever Shuri did to remove the Hydra things, and voila, he's perfect again." He explained, showing me a vial of weird look serum.
