Midtown takes a field trip to SI and they accidentally find out about Stucky. Insanity ensues

[Peter]

"You've got to be kidding me." I groaned, just finding out about our lovely field trip to Stark Industries. My. Freaking. HOUSE.

"Please get these permission slips signed and returned to me by tomorrow morning! We are going to leave at 8:30 sharp, so you will just go to your first period and inform your teacher you'll be leaving. You can come to the front and wait for our bus if your teacher allows it. If not, wait until you're called out." Mr. Harrison told the group, handing out the forms.

"Afternoon, Peter." Happy greeted me as I slid into the car.

"Did you know Mr. Stark set up a tour for my chemistry class?" I told him, accepting my death. He didn't answer me, but I took that as a no.

We got to the tower in no time, and I immediately went to the penthouse. As the elevator doors opened, I was instantly hit with the smell of apples and cinnamon.

"Mom?" It was just a guess, but I was right.

"Peter! Oh, perfect timing. I just took the pie out of the oven." She exclaimed, wiping her hands on her apron. The kitchen was surprisingly clean, considering she just baked a whole ass pie. But then again, she was Pepper Stark.

"You baked a pie?" I asked, setting my school stuff down.

"Well, I finished up all my work early and Tony gets back from his mission today, so I figured I'd do something nice." She told me, sitting beside me at the island.

"Well, that's amazing. Thanks."

"No problem, kid. How was school?"

"Oh. Um, good for the most part." I started, suddenly remembering the permission slip sitting in my backpack. "But I found out that we have a field trip tomorrow."

"Well, what's wrong with- oh. I forgot we scheduled that tour." She laughed, realizing what I was talking about.

"Yeah. I got the permission slip." I told her, grabbing it from my bag.

"I'm guessing you'd like me to not remind dad about it?" She asked, signing it and handing it back to me.

"Or anyone else. If you could. It's just, I don't want the attention."

"I understand. There's a reason we haven't told the public about you, kid." She laughed, nodding.

"Exactly. It's the same there. People would treat me so different."

"I won't speak a word of it to anyone. I can't promise they won't find out, but it won't be because of me. Promise."

"Thanks, mom. It means a lot." I smiled at her.

"Now, do you want to help me with dinner?"

"Of course! Let's go."

I somehow woke up in the morning 20 minutes before my alarm went off, which meant I had time to eat at home before leaving. So I got up and got ready before heading off to the kitchen.

Pepper was the only one in the kitchen, and she already had breakfast cooking.

"Good morning, Pete." She smiled at me, plating a few pancakes and handing them to me.
