Shiro: everyone ready?

Keith: Let's get this over with

Matt: the resistance has your back, we have every available member here to support you

Pidge: between the resistance, the blade, and us we should be able to take them down. even if we are down a lion

Hunk: well, we better get started

Matt: we have Lotor engaged in combat

Keith: keep him there, i want to take this fucker down myself

Pidge: we've taken down the fleet!

Matt: Keith and Lotor are still fighting hand to hand on one of the cruisers

Hunk: that cruiser took crucial damage near the fuel supply, it's about to blow!

Allura: we have to get Keith out of there!!

Shiro: I'll get him, the rest of you retreat so the blast doesn't reach you

Hunk: okay, you have five doboshes

Matt: doboshwhat?

Pidge: altean for minutes

Shiro: that's plenty of time

Shiro: I got Keith out, I tried to save Lotor too

Pidge: ew why?

Shiro: because every life has value pidge. no matter who they are or how much we hate them. we are the defenders of the universe, we can't let people die over personal reasons

Keith: Lotor refused to come with us through "victory or death" yaknow

Shiro: he perished in the blast

Allura: well today we made a significant impact on the galra empire, we just freed two quadrants by taking out that fleet. and without lotor in the picture, lance is safe.

Keith: he can finally come out of hiding?

Allura: yes, we should go get him right away. we all know he's miserable there. Everyone come aboard the castle so I can get us there via wormhole

Shiro: got it princess

Keith: we did it. we took down the fleet, freed two quadrants, and took down lotor

Lance: oh my god i was so scared you guys wouldn't be able to do it without voltron

Keith: we had enough backup

Lance: are you sure Lotor is gone?

Keith: yes, I fought him myself. I watched him blow up on a cruiser. he's gone. you're safe. you don't have to worry about being kidnapped again

Lance: you're positive he's gone? he got past us three times to get to me, it wouldn't surprise me if he faked his death to give us a false sense of security

Keith: lance you're just paranoid. and you have every right to be after what he put you through. but he's gone. he's dead. you're safe. we're coming to get you now

Lance: okay, i trust you

Chat: Allura, Shiro

Shiro: Lance is back on the castle and secure in his bedroom

Allura: why must he be secured? are you worried?

Shiro: I watched Lotor blow up with my own eyes, so did Keith. But it's best to stay on the safe side.

Allura: you're right. even with Lotor dead, someone might want to pick up where he left off. we still have no idea why he was so fixated on lance. there might be a cause we aren't aware of that could lead to others attempting to kidnap him as well

Shiro: Keith thinks Lotor was obsessed with him for personal reasons, but I guess we'll never know

Allura: it's over. that's all that matters. now we can get back to focusing on this war. we need not worry about lance anymore. he's safe

Shiro: we should hold off on any offensive moves until lance is settled back in, lotor put him through a lot. he still hasn't fully recovered from his injuries.

Allura: we'll stay on the defensive until things are back to normal. give lance time to recuperate. i'm not going to risk his safety again. lotor was able to kidnap him three times, any one of those times he could've been killed. I won't let that happen to him or the rest of you.

Shiro: he's safe now, that's all that matters

Allura: you're right. let's have a celebratory dinner tonight, celebrate that he's back with us safe and sound

Shiro: sounds like a perfect idea princess
