You face planted into your bed and groaned. "Why must one feel so many emotions??" You screamed into your blanket. "I gotta fix this." You concluded. Sitting up and grabbed your bag. "I'll just text Astro, or maybe call.. yeah, call, it's better if he can hear me out, plus, I don't want to be sending him a long text massage, like a break up text." You shook your head and sighed as you rummaged through your bag. "Astro's got it lucky, I bet he can chose emotions if he wanted! He could probably ask doctor O'shay to take away his guilt and-" You then frowned, being unable to feel your phone. "What the? Maybe it's in.." You trailed off as you pattered down your blazer, still nothing.

"This is the worst day of my life!!"

"I don't understand Reno! I don't have any clue of what I could've done!" Astro sat back in his chair and his eyes were wide open, how could you so harshly cross him out of your life like that? Literally.

"Well, what she did was a little harsh, but you left her in the rain to run off with some other girl." Reno explained.

"But she-! Wait.. what? How.. how do you know about that?" Astro asked, looking up at Reno who had finished sipping from his hot-chocolate.

"I was supposed to meet Kennedy for soccer today, but I heard someone scream, and when I checked it out, I saw (Y/N)- looking like she was almost dead! On the ground." Reno breathed out, his steaming hot breath passing through the cool air, making him feel like he was breathing out fire.

"But I don't understand.. why didn't she just take cover?" Astro asked. Reno placed his mug down and closed his eyes in a little bit of annoyance at Astro's thick skull. But Astro wouldn't know what it's like to have your heart broken so much that you could barely move.

"Astro, do you really love that- Nikki girl-? or whatever her name was." He mumbled the last part.

"I- I guess I do, wait- what does this have to do with (Y/N)?" Astro shook his head and looked at Reno with worry. Reno placed his hand up to stop Astro from speaking and so he could continue.

"Do you love her more than (Y/N)?"

"Well, that depends on the type of love." Astro said.

"Would you save her, or Nikki from a fire?" Reno said, trying to rephrase his question.

"I'd save the both of-"

"You can't cut corners Astro. One or the other." Reno stated, this question made Astro visually uncomfortable.

"I guess.. I'd save Nikki.. not both of them matter to me! They're both human so I care about their lives a lot!" Astro said, trying to make his statement sound better in the eyes of Reno.

"Now, if (Y/N) had to save you or me, from a fire, let's say you were human too, no powers and no flying your way out." Reno said, to which Astro nodded slowly. "She'd chose you, do you know why?"

"Because she values my friendship more than yours?" Astro asked innocently. A tick mark appeared on Reno's head as he clenched his teeth together.

"No.." He said stiffly.

"Oh Reno! Stop giving me these puzzles! Just tell me why she hates me!" Astro whined. Reno slammed his mug onto the side table.

"You broke her heart Astro! You broke my best friend's heart!" Reno stated, loosing his temper, just a little.

"I.." Astro sat back in his chair. He furrowed his brow. It didn't make any sense to him.

"She saw you with Nikki, and it hurt her Astro, it hurt her a lot." Reno frowned, less angry now, just more sympathetic towards the situation.

"But.. I didn't know she... She.. Astro sighed, resting his hand on his forehead. Reno huffed and smiled lightly.

"I know bud, but you both should apologise to each other. Her needing to apologise more- but what I mean is, you both need to make up." Reno told.

"But what do I say to her??" Astro asked, standing up. "She likes me! Or she did! What do I tell her?? 'Sorry about that, I did like you once, but not anymore'?!"

"Wait, you liked her once?" Reno cocked his head to the side.

"Well yeah- didn't you?" Astro asked, like it was normal.

"Erm, no." Reno stated.

"Well that's besides the point!" Astro shook his head. "I still don't know what to sa-"

"Renoooo! I'm coming into your house now!" You yelled out tiredly. "I'm pretty sure I left my phone here today, so I'm just gonna look for it." You let the door close behind you. Once you looked up, you saw Astro siting on the couch with Reno, both of them looking at you with wide eyes. "A-A-Astro!" You said nervously.

"(Y/N)!" He said, moving around the couch.

"On second thought- I'll come back tomorrow!" You turned your whole body around on one foot and frantically tried to open the door.

"Wait (Y/N)!" Astro placed his hand on your shoulder, but immediately retracted his hand. "I have something I want to say.."

You breathed out and turned around. "Astro I.."

"I'm sorry!" You both blurted out. Your eyes then widened.

"Wait a second, what are you apologising about?" You asked.

"Well I left you at school today and I forgot about you! And if I had know how you felt about me then I would've-"

You smacked your hand onto Astro's mouth, keeping it shut. "Reno... what did you tell him...?" You spoke in a warning tone, stepping to the side of Astro to peak at the bashful and innocent looking engineer.

"(Y/N)." Astro moved your hand away. "What I'm trying to say is that I'm sorry for playing with your emotions." He told.

"And I'm sorry for lashing out, on you- erm.. your poster." You corrected yourself. Astro smiled happily at the drama being over, he was glad he could talk to friends like you so easily.

"Friends?" Astro asked, opening his arms for a hug. You smiled sadly and accepted the hug.

"...Friends..." You said.

The three of you stayed at Reno's place for a bit longer before Astro had to head off. He thank Reno for letting him stay and soon left. You and Reno waved to him from Reno's door as Astro flew off into the distance.

You sighed. "Great.. were 'friends' again.." You mumbled. Don't get me wrong, you valued Astro's friendship a huge amount, but that doesn't mean you couldn't long for more.

"I wouldn't worry (Y/N), he used to have a thing for you." Reno smirked and slapped your back.

"He did?!" You questioned.

"Mhm." Reno nodded, he seemed very pleased with himself.
